I am a board-certified general psychiatrist. I completed my residency training at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center, as well, as a two-year certification course in psychodynamic psychotherapy at New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. I provide comprehensive, high-quality outpatient mental health services to a broad range of individuals and their families.
I help clients resolve psychological or psychiatric problems that keep them from fully experiencing their lives. I also work with people to help them achieve their life goals. Because no two people are the same, treatment for every person should be individually tailored. I do therapy, and use medications when they are needed. Some of the therapies I use are hypnotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, couples and family therapy. I help with anxiety, mood problems, habit problems, co-morbid medical and psychiatric problems, relationship and family problems.
I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My career has focused on humanistic and relational approaches to taking care of children, adolescents, adults and families. Shame, stigma and loss impact development in a multitude of ways, and can deter people from reaching their personal and professional goals. Disruption due to trauma, loss, medical and mental health issues can have long lasting effects. I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy and focus on supporting one's resilience and strengths while exploring experiences and feelings which may interfere with forward movement.
I am a Psychiatrist with subspecialty in Addiction/Substance Use Disorders. I work at a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital in Boston, MA. I believe that there is nothing brighter than a child's mind. This is why I am passionate about working with children and adolescents of diverse cultural backgrounds struggling with mental health conditions. While I provide psychopharmacological treatment, I believe that treatment should be dynamic, person centered with strong emphasis on life style and behavioral changes as well as environmental supports. Working with a multidisciplinary team is the most effective approach to manage mental health conditions, this is why I REQUIRE that all my clients MUST BE actively engaged on individual/behavioral therapy.

Thoughtful psychiatry is a group of psychiatric providers devoted to providing a person-centered approach to providing psychiatric care. We provide medication management as well as dynamic psychotherapy and accept clients that already have therapists. We try to provide a safe place for our client to explore their thoughts, express their feelings and make meaningful changes in their lives. With over three decades of experience in academic and corporate environments, my current work as a Psychiatric NP has evolved from observing students’ and colleagues’ challenges and successes and their relationship to EMOTIONAL HEALTH and ABILITY TO FOCUS on daily and long-term goals. As a result of my Yale, Duke, Tufts and MGH psychiatric training, I’ve been able to hone my observations into effective working theories about the biopsychosocial factors that influence peoples’ vitality and well-being. If you're currently struggling with academic, professional or emotional obstacles, I believe I can help.
