As a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist, I treat patients of all ages, with a particular emphasis on individuals ages 5-60. I have extensive experience in treating patients from diverse cultural backgrounds and LGBTQ+ identifying individuals. I utilize psychotherapy in combination with medication to provide a holistic treatment to my patients. I have received training in a variety of psychotherapy modalities, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Therapy, and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I have been practicing general adult psychiatry since 1997 and have extensive expertise in evaluating and treating individuals of all ages, as well as treating a wide variety of emotional and mental conditions that range from mood/anxiety disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders to consulting with clients about grief, trauma, work stress, relationship problems, adoption, legal cases, disability, and other major life changing events. I utilize biopsychosocial approach to mental illness that takes into account each individual's physical health, environment, and psychological experiences throughout their life.

I believe everybody has a potential to thrive for exceptional mental health throughout their lifespan. My goal is to be capable to offer culturally competent and individualized support to my patients. As an experienced and holistic psychiatrist and psychotherapist I enjoy treating adolescents and adults. During my initial evaluation I focus on a whole mind-body connection of an individual. This includes family concerns, dietary habits, environmental issues, social and cultural matters and underlying medical disease that may have an impact on mental health. I provide therapeutic interventions such as psychopharmacological medication management, psychosocial interventions including patient education, supportive and individualized therapy, and referrals to alternative modalities of healing as indicated for the patient.

Priti Purushothaman, MD, FAPA, is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Orlando, Florida. She received her medical degree from Govt. Medical College, Bhavnagar, India and completed residency in Psychiatry at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Purushothaman then completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and fellowship in Community Psychiatry. Dr. Purushothaman is double board certified in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Yasmin Panjwani is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in Florida with a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice (DNP). Yasmin earned her Master's in Nursing Education (MSN) at University of South Florida and continued her education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Yasmin worked as an APRN and provided wide range of healthcare services to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. While providing medical care to patients, developed passion in psychiatry. Yasmin realized that many mental health disorders occur concurrently with medical conditions.

I am a board certified psychiatrist with 16 years of clinical experience in a variety of medical settings offering expertise in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. My practice focus is highly personalized and evidence-based care in a professional environment of genuineness, acceptance and empathy. My goal is only one - to help you achieve your full potential. As a wellness and integrative psychiatrist, my care philosophy centers around understanding and treating the patient as a whole. Dr. Varshney is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Varshney was born and raised in Sikkim, India. She graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Dr. Varshney completed her residency in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine/ Elmhurst Hospital Center, in New York City. She then went on to complete a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Worcester, Massachusetts, Department of Law and Psychiatry.
