Using a psychodynamic and IFS (Parts Work) approach, I provide therapy for individual adults, couples, and families. Patients learn to recognize patterns in their behaviors that are causing them discomfort. Through the therapeutic approach and the therapeutic relationship, patients begin to make meaning of their internal system thus enabling them to utilize new ways of coping with grief, transitions (newly married, divorce, raising children, new job, relocation), anxiety, and past trauma.

I have many years of experience working with families in both inpatient and outpatient settings who are struggling or healing from the wounds of addiction. Family members affected by addiction often need assistance learning the difference between supporting and enabling.

Psychodynamic therapy enables an individual, couple, or family to stop being seduced by old patterns of behavior, and instead learn to recognize, change, and begin to break free from chaos, fear, and frustration.
