I work extensively with adults and couples, with a particular focus on millenials and GenZ. Depression, anxiety and self-doubt are very painful conditions that I can treat effectively. Additionally, however, there are a lot of situational problems that can often cause significant distress: difficult relationships with partners or family, career issues, parenting dilemmas, or major life transitions like divorce or illness. Of course, I want to help you feel better! But I also want to help you learn more about yourself, make choices that are in line with your values and desires, and improve the relationships that are important to you.
There's no one-size-fits-all! I use several: psychodynamics for insight into emotions, self and relationships, ACT and DBT to build coping and communication skills, and person-centered for rapport. With couples or family, I focus on increased mutual understanding, identifying healthy boundaries, and creating communicative trust. I also offer parent coaching.
I look forward to helping you understand what's not feeling good or right, what's most important to you now and in the future, and what the paths might be to greater peace of mind and life satisfaction. With empathy, care, and yes, sometimes humor! - I offer relief from depression and anxiety, better relationships, and a more confident sense of self.
