About
Hi! I'm a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in relationship problems. You might think that means our intimate relationships (partners, friends, family, coworkers, etc)... but I tend to first focus on the relationship that we have, or don't have, with ourselves; Imposter syndrome, gratitude shaming, self-doubt, poor self-image, and essentially: complete lack of self worth. These are the most common barriers to authentic relationships with others.
I believe that change must begin internally and that shame is at the core of everything that keeps us stagnant. Many of us channel our energy into maladjusted behaviors such as blame, control, and other attempts to change external circumstances. Using EMDR and other trauma-informed modalities, I seek to help you deconstruct deeply embedded shame narratives.
I wholeheartedly believe in mindfulness-based stress reduction. Using an insight-oriented and psychodynamic approach, I help my patients to navigate through their journey into wellness. I know the non-negotiable importance of a therapeutic relationship, and aim to cultivate a safe space of trust, compassion, and empathy.
