At StoneCrest Center, we understand that families are impacted when a loved one is struggling. We empathize with and support those who have a family member who is suffering from a mental health disorder, co-occurring addiction, or developmental concern. We also believe that patients can benefit from their families’ participation in the treatment process. Throughout programming, we provide family therapy sessions in virtual and in-person formats to help family members support their loved ones. In family therapy sessions, social workers and other behavioral health staff teach families better communication skills to repair and strengthen their relationships. Sanford Behavioral Health is a residential and outpatient addiction, mental health, and eating disorder treatment center in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our newest facility, Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus, is 12 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan. Sanford West is well positioned to treat high acuity patients with an integrated, individualized approach to treatment, Our programs are backed by a psychiatrist-led multi-disciplinary team of medical and clinical professionals, and most of our programs are available in person or via telehealth. Our continuum of care includes Detox; Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization ( day programs or PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (half-day programs or IOP); Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medical Management; Outpatient Programs; and one-on-one and family counseling. In addition, Sanford West houses the first standalone residential eating disorder treatment center in Michigan. And although it is a big, sprawling campus, program areas are strategically divided into more intimate spaces.

Sanford Outpatient Center for Addiction Treatment is conveniently located 12 minutes from Greater Grand Rapids, in Marne, Michigan. We offer substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health treatment to adults 18 or older. Programs are offered in person or via telehealth. The Outpatient Center has flexible, innovative, individualized recovery programs for those with work, child care, school, or other obligations. Outpatient treatment allows for continuing everyday activities while integrating effective strategies to manage recovery. Sanford Outpatient Center is a great place to gather for treatment and community support. A psychiatrist-led multidisciplinary team of medical and clinical professionals backs all our programs. Programs and services include medical and psychiatric assessments, medical detox, day programs (PHP), half-day programs (IOP only 3 hours a day 3 days a week), outpatient groups, medication management & MAT, post-acute detox, alums & family support, and supportive living. Our facility is comfortable and beautiful, with custom furniture, original artwork, a beverage station, the Sanford Café, a discreet entrance, and free parking.

Our Rapid 4-Day Opiate Detox Procedure is for patients addicted or dependent on heroin, pills, Suboxone, Methadone, and Fentanyl and Kratom. Day 1- patient completes intake paperwork, lab work, physical & psychological exam. We include a private room, private bathroom, flat-screen TV, WIFI and all meals are included. Day 2- patient is taken to the ICU, under the care of Award Winning, Board Certified Anesthesiologist & Addiction Specialist, Dr. Julia Aharonov. The patient receives IV Sedation and sleeps through withdrawals while closely monitored by the nursing staff. After the opiate reversal, the patient receives an FDA Approved Vivitrol® injection. Day 3- The patient comes back to their private room with 24-hour medical staff, and rests and recuperates for the day. If they experience any post-acute withdrawals, they are given non-addictive medications and receives those medications to take home. The next morning, after meeting with Dr. Aharonov, they are free to go home. Once your detox is complete, you are eligible for our detox-related aftercare. Financing is available.

Founded in 2015, Sanford Behavioral Health is licensed and accredited as a substance use disorder, eating disorder, and co-occurring mental health treatment facility, serving Michigan and beyond. Sanford House at Cherry Street is a full continuum addiction treatment center for adult women 18 years and older. Sanford is led by a growing team of medical, clinical, and support personnel providing medication-assisted, evidenced-based treatment to residential, outpatient, and telehealth patients. We offer adult female-gendered individuals an intimate, homelike, and decidedly non-institutional environment to heal. Residents live onsite while they attend group, individual, and family therapy sessions, receive medical and psychiatric check-ups and participate in wellness activities. This option provides 24/7 access to the support of our medical team. Our clinicians offer specialized care and follow a program accentuating each woman’s inherent values and strengths. Sanford Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders (Sanford CTED) offers a full continuum of care for eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are located 12 minutes from Grand Rapids, in Marne, Michigan. Programs are residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient, and outpatient groups. Therapy may be individual or group; we utilize CBT, DBT, ACT, interpersonal, and family systems therapy. Clinical therapists and registered dieticians lead the groups. Emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT) is our primary family modality. Therapy includes immediate family members whenever possible, especially younger individuals still at home. We practice a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, which honors body diversity and encourages movement for health and enjoyment, not to lose weight. Our ultimate goal for everyone we treat is to return to intuitive eating behaviors – eat when hungry, and stop when full.
