Family Program
At StoneCrest Center, we understand that families are impacted when a loved one is struggling. We empathize with and support those who have a family member who is suffering from a mental health disorder, co-occurring addiction, or developmental concern. We also believe that patients can benefit from their families’ participation in the treatment process. Throughout programming, we provide family therapy sessions in virtual and in-person formats to help family members support their loved ones. In family therapy sessions, social workers and other behavioral health staff teach families better communication skills to repair and strengthen their relationships. We encourage families to express their feelings and thoughts. We focus on helping families understand what their loved ones may be experiencing, and we prepare them to provide the most effective support they can after their loved one completes treatment and returns home. Effective Therapies
At StoneCrest Center, our expert staff provides evidence-based therapies that can help our patients learn new skills and improve their daily lives. Licensed therapists and social workers hold individual and family therapy sessions as needed. In daily group therapy sessions, social workers, activity therapists, and behavioral health associates use behavioral analysis to help patients understand how to change or avoid negative behaviors, improve social skills, and learn new coping strategies. Our patients can also receive education in group therapy sessions that cover topics such as trauma, coping skills, self-esteem, and healthy boundaries. Additionally, we provide multiple types of daily experiential therapy sessions, including art, music, and pet therapies, which have been shown to improve patients’ energy levels, self-esteem, and mood. By providing well-rounded therapy options, we hope to help each patient lay the groundwork for continued success even after they’ve left our care. Population Served
Located in Detroit, Michigan, StoneCrest Center is a leading provider of mental healthcare services for adolescents ages 12-17, adults ages 18-54, and seniors age 55 and older who are suffering from mental health disorders, co-occurring addictions, and cognitive disorders. We also offer our Inspirations Program for adults age 18 and older who have primary mental health concerns and secondary developmental concerns such as sensory processing disorder and developmental delay. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and provide care for people who have a wide range of needs. We strive to treat our patients with compassion and follow the highest standards of ethical behavior at all times. Typically, patients enter inpatient programming at StoneCrest Center because they are experiencing crisis-level symptoms and need help stabilizing.
