Adults remain in our inpatient program for about five to seven days, though their exact length of stay usually depends on their individual progress. At Maple Heights Behavioral Health, we offer a leading inpatient program for adolescents ages 12-18. Our adolescent inpatient program serves youths who are struggling with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Inpatient treatment can be ideal for young people who have acute concerns and can benefit from crisis intervention. Our adolescent inpatient program has a typical length of stay of five to seven days, but a young person may remain in our care for the length of time that best fits their needs. When your child takes part in our adolescent inpatient program in Fort Wayne, Indiana, they will receive an individualized treatment plan that outlines the elements of care that can best meet their needs and support their therapeutic goals. A young person’s treatment plan may include medication management services, individual therapy, family therapy, and basic medical care. We also offer daily group therapy sessions for patients. Our goal is to deliver intensive support and prepare each adolescent for continued success.

Dawn McDonough is a graduate of Purdue University’s Mental Health Counseling program.  She also received certification in Expressive Arts and Addictions. She has worked with adolescents and adults in residential and outpatient programs, as well as in private practice.  Ms. McDonough uses an eclectic approach with her primary focus being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She has worked with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-esteem, stress-management, and substance abuse. “I try to empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve life satisfaction.”

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital offers inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization for adults and adolescents (ages 13 to 17) and medical detoxification services for adults. Our mental and behavioral health program addresses issues such as: suicidal ideations, self-harm, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, co-occurring disorders and trauma accompanied by behavioral and mental health issues. We currently offer detox services for alcohol, opiates and benzodiazepines. We also offer both psychiatric and dual diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for both adults and adolescents.

Options Behavioral Health, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a leading provider of inpatient treatment for adults ages 18-64. We provide care for adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders and need immediate stabilization. Therapies are delivered by a diverse team of professionals that includes master's-level social workers and counselors, licensed nursing staff, and psychiatrists. Our staff members have extensive experience and training in specialty areas such as applied behavior analysis, forensic interviewing, chemical dependency, and domestic violence support.
