Nicholas Lipman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate born and raised in Indianapolis. Nick obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Hanover College and his Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Indianapolis. He has worked in a variety of settings with multiple specialties: including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, and case management. Being a part of the LGBT+ community, Nick is comfortable with a variety of populations. Nick has always had a passion for helping others and takes special interest in the many different journeys and pathways we take on the walk of life. Nick believes that therapy is a tool to help people become the most whole versions of themselves and that treatment is led by the client. You are your own expert. Nick values open communication and believes that engaging all of a client’s support systems are the key to holistic healing.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the standard therapy for children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA analyzes all behavior by assessing environmental variables and how they influence behavior and learning. At Collaborating for Kids, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will create, oversee, and direct all behavior programs. Highly trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) then carry out the programs by using the principals of ABA to address all behaviors, including communication, appropriate social skills, activities of daily living, toilet training, community skills, safety skills, and more. Programs can range from 2 hours to 40 hours per week.
