I have immediate openings. Working with parents of teens is my area of specialty. I also have a great deal of experience working effectively with parents with younger children. I am passionate about working with parents. I work from the premise that relationships are the most important thing we do and that all parents want to be the best they can be. Teenagers face big challenges and need their parens to understand and support them through this important, vulnerable time in a way that helps them learn and grow. They need the skills to think for themselves, make good choices, and act responsibility to be able to face their future.

Many times in our lives we believe that overcoming obstacles is like attempting the impossible. We continue to feel lonely, make the same mistakes, and have the same fears, self- doubts that eventually cause us to believe that life will always be the same. Counseling can assist you in making the changes that you desire in your life. Providing you the opportunity to explore new avenues in which you might not have believed before. This journey may not be easy; however, it is one that can bring out the change you have been longing for.

Scott Robbins graduated from Argosy University in Seattle, with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. Scott is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, (LMHC), Mental Health Professional (MHP) and a Children's Mental Health Specialist (CMS). Scott has 15 years' experience as a public school teacher. He also has a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Instruction and Curriculum Development from Lesley College, in Cambridge Massachusetts. He has coached middle and high school football for 19 years. For 8 years he was a Young Life Area Director in Lewis County, WA and Sacramento, CA.

I am newly licensed but life experienced. I have been married for over thirty years and have one adult daughter and two grandchildren. I was an officer in the US Merchant Marines until 1996, and I have owned and operated a Farmers Insurance and Financial Services Agency for the past twenty-six years. I have been involved in coaching male and female athletes of all ages in baseball, basketball, soccer, and fast pitch. My interest in becoming a therapist grew out of this sports and business background. Assisting others to identify their strengths and weakness, and to empower themselves, has evolved into my next career.

We like to help people who are seeking to make their lives better, whether it's to save their marriage, go through a divorce without losing their minds or parent their children without killing them ;) Both our counselors are pretty laid back and like to "tell it like it is." You won't hear much professional jargon from us; We prefer to keep things simple. Our goal as therapists is to help our clients never see us again...we would love to get to a point where we no longer have people to help because everyone is coping so well!

Sofie believes in providing person-centered and trauma-informed mental health support to children, young adolescents, and caregivers, for navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustments, neurodiversity, and behavioral challenges. Sofie offers caregiver support for building positive parent-child relationships and managing challenging behaviors through exploring the meaning behind them and connecting them to the child's emotional experience. Sofie provides a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment for children to explore big feelings through play while learning new skills to regulate in safe and healthy ways.

Healing and caring for ourselves is hard work. Sometimes painful, often fulfilling, occasionally tedious, it is a necessary part of being open to the experiences that life has to offer us. Therapy is one way to find support in healing from trauma, managing our health, and discovering and practicing new ways of caring for ourselves. As Audre Lorde wrote, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare." Steve Williams has been in private practice for 29 years.
