I specialize in psychological and psycho-educational evaluations with both children and adolescents. I have extensive clinical experience in the assessment of children with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral difficulties. My expertise is in the diagnostic assessment of developmental delays, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), and autism. I use a child's pattern of strengths and weaknesses to help guide treatment recommendations. I also provide IQ/Gifted evaluations, early entrance Kindergarten and College Board documentation testing, and school consultation.

Guided by my client’s needs and issues, I use a variety of theoretical orientations to work WITH each individual. My primary approach to therapy is Person-Centered, meaning emphasis is placed on creating a safe environment where clients are supported as active participants in exploring their experience and developing personalized goals. After the initial evaluation and developing a collaborative relationship, patients are supported in developing skills that allow them to move forward in confidence, not that all problems are solved but, in understanding they have what they need to manage their unique struggle when it shows up.

Hello my name is Katie and it is nice to meet you. I am currently taking new patients, teens 14 and older, and adults in Oregon and Washington. I have served in the field for 12 years and welcome populations of all demographics, ethnicities and cultures. I have extensive experience in school based settings assisting with issues such as complex trauma, self harm, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, divorce, adoption, children in the foster system, parent coaching, and other issues. Are you a neurodivergent individual who struggles with an overwhelming sense of shame and a tsunami of self-doubts? I am a licensed psychologist who provides evidence-based therapy for children through young adults as well as consultation for caregivers. I also have 15+ years of working experience in public schools as a school psychologist. In my work, I am guided by the belief that children and families are brilliant and beautiful, and I aim to support and facilitate their transformative agency, particularly clients from diverse backgrounds.

I am passionate about helping people to promote well-being and to manage emotional distress and psychiatric symptoms. I enjoy using psychological theories and mind-body interventions to help children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds to improve their physical and mental health. I have helped people to reach their physical health goals, heal from trauma, make career and life transitions, grow in marriages and relationships, and build mood and anxiety management tools. My sessions focus on sharing information and skills to address your unique needs and life circumstances. We will develop a treatment plan together.

I view therapy as a collaborative effort, where I share my expertise to help clients gain more insight and agency in their lives. I aim to do this by being open minded both to a wide variety of experiences and to a client's end goal of therapy. Additionally, since the lived experiences of others will differ from my own, I use consultation with clinicians with more expertise, to be emotionally safe and ethical in my interventions. I enjoy working with clients (all ages) that are trying to: manage anger, disappointment, depression, anxiety, creating & maintaining healthy relationships, and create affirming parenting practices.

Dr. Tutty provides psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents who may be struggling with ADHD (executive functioning), Autism, Learning Disabilities, Twice Exceptional, Anxiety, Depression, as well as counseling for children affected by high conflict divorce. Dr. Tutty also provides counseling to children and adolescents for these issues (most insurance plans accepted). In addition, Dr. Tutty provides forensic psychological services to adults in need of mental health and parenting evaluations, as well as personal injury evaluations (e.g., TBI), which are not covered by insurance.

Each person has a unique situation that requires me to listen to your story with compassion, curiosity, and openness. I work with clients across the age-span, though I have extensive experience with ages 15-30. Many of my clients enter therapy after a life crisis such as a struggling child or adolescent, a death or illness, a change in career, a break-up, the affect of an addiction, identity issues, or simply patterns of worry or regret.

We can never be fully prepared for how life changes once we have children. Learning how to be a parent without losing other important relationships and parts of ourselves can be even more challenging if we’re dealing with a traumatic birth, unexpected medical diagnoses, or an increase in anxiety, overwhelm, or anger. I am a therapist who listens closely and with curiosity, who will support you in processing loss and rebuilding your sense of self and your relationships. With humor and compassion, I can guide you in strengthening your confidence and identity as a parent and a partner.

I approach my work using a client-centered, strengths-based model. I view every individual/family/couple as unique, utilizing methods and techniques best-suited for each situation. My experience includes many areas, all pertaining to individuals, couples and families. I am passionate in working with women, teens, couples and the LGBTQ community. I was trained in Family Systems Therapy; I approach therapy work holistically, focusing on the individual and extending beyond, to the interactions between family members and significant others. I work with clients to help them recognize how extended family, culture, and society may impact them as individuals.
