Are you experiencing distressing symptoms from unresolved childhood trauma? Together, we'll explore how & where the trauma became dysfunctionally stored & we will also explore those Parts that are desperately trying to protect the Self from further distress or pain.

I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, as well as those who have experienced trauma in their lives. I have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of issues and needs. There are times we need extra support and counsel in order to bring about healing and change. This process of healing could include challenging harmful thoughts and behaviors, addressing self-worth, learning to navigate through difficulties, and gaining insight for lasting change.

I am a thoughtful and creative person who gravitated to counseling after a career designing safe structures to help meet our community’s need for housing. I wish health was as easy as building better structures, and I still do believe that is part of the way forward. In therapy for instance, there are structured exercises and treatments to draw from that really work in the right situation. Emotions focused, somatic and relational techniques can help provide some of that structure in my practice. There are also some more subtle dimensions of our existence and it is healthy to embrace those as well.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist associate and art therapist, I treat children, adolescents, couples and families in a collaborative process to explore concerns and challenges that have arisen in their lives. Additionally, I specialize in helping children and adolescents who are having difficulty in school, with peer relationships and experiencing loss and changing family dynamics.
