Not currently able to accept new clients (as of February 2024). I currently provide TELEtherapy only. I am able to work with individuals of all ages with concerns related to anxiety, unhealthy coping strategies, stress management, depression, and other mood disorders. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing anxiety.

As a therapist I enjoy working with Teens, Young Adults, LGBTQI+, and Military individuals. Issues that I can address include depression, trauma, addiction, PTSD, self-harm, family conflict, peer relationships, and any life event you are struggling through.

I want to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where people can discuss their lives freely without fear of judgement. While the specific goals of therapy are always decided by the client, my overarching goals with each person is that they will come to understand their worth as an individual, and will find freedom to fully engage with life. I believe in not only addressing issues that hold people back, but also in exploring their unique strengths and interests.

My practice primarily centers around individuals suffering from anxiety. This can be children struggling to manage changes in their lives, teens overwhelmed with the pressure they are experiencing, or adults struggling to balance responsibilities. I see a fair amount of children with ADHD diagnoses and have worked effectively in utilizing behavioral strategies to aid in symptomology, as well as balancing therapeutic skills with medication. I am trained in trauma and attachment and see children, teens, and adults struggling with these issues. As a trained play therapist, I employ aspects of play therapy with all clients.

I am a Licensed Independent Mental HeaIth Professional and I have been in private practice for over 31 years. I am experienced in treating a wide variety of emotional, psychological and relational struggles. I am a preferred provider with most all insurances. Daytime and early evening sessions available.

The Cord’s founders, Cathy and Stefanie also founded the Attachment and Trauma Center Institute and created the Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol (IATP-C). This protocol, along with other modalities that focus on neurobiology, trauma, and attachment theory inform our treatment. The Cord's therapists, who are also independent contractors, focus on attachment, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma and adoption issues. We help adults, families, and children/adolescents. When working with families, our collaboration with parents is an essential part of whole family healing.

Unfortunately, everyone experiences painful events at times in their life. Helping people to rebuild their lives back to what it was before or building a whole new life is something I have enjoyed doing for over 20 years. As a Clinician and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, I am blessed to be in a line of work which focuses on helping people feel better about themselves and their lives. I work with young people as well as adults and their families. I can address trauma, peer issues, family conflicts, behavioral problems, sexually reactive behaviors, depression, social skills and assertiveness issues. I can work with schools as needed and have experience with the court system. Treatment modalities include EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, CPP, Circle of Security Parenting and psychotherapy. Together we will determine the best course of treatment for you.
