I offer two distinct services: psychological testing and psychotherapy. As a psychologist, I provide psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Evaluations include a comprehensive understanding of the individual's cognitive and emotional functioning. They target intellectual and academic functioning, learning/memory, executive functioning, personality, and psychopathology. Evaluations may be used for accommodations on standardized exams (e.g. ACT) as well as for Gifted and Talented programs. I also offer Pre-surgical Evaluations, Intellectual Disability Evaluations, and TBI Evaluations. Evaluations may be used to help guide academic (e.g. 504 plans, IEPs, or college accommodations) interventions.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in private practice since 1981. I focus treatment on the needs of the client to help them come to terms with the issues they are struggling with and to help develop an understanding of their human potential. I also have a very strong background in divorce issues, custody problems, and helping the client to work through issues that they can address and change. Each individual is unique, with unique needs, and this is the focal point of treatment. I work well with both voluntary and court ordered clients.

Trevor D. Taylor, PsyD, is a Clinical Psychologist practicing Health Psychology at the Westside Medical Clinic (Tanner Clinic). Dr. Taylor describes Health Psychology as the interplay between medical illnesses and mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, stress, and poor adjustments. He meets with patients who are diagnosed with medical illnesses to provide therapies and treatment to help prevent, manage, and cope with conditions. Dr. Taylor also conducts Psychological Evaluations for differential diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and pre-surgical (Bariatric and Spine Stimulator Implants).

Jennifer R. Cardinal, Ph.D., is a doctoral level psychologist with areas of specialization in neuropsychology, school psychology, and autism. She is licensed as a psychologist and is also nationally certified as a school psychologist by the National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Cardinal completed a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology Counseling and Guidance from Brigham Young University and later completed a Doctorate Degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology. She was a school counselor at Salt Lake School District and spent several years as a school psychologist working at Jordan and Davis School districts.

Hello there! I am a licensed psychologist experienced in conducting several different evaluations for ages six and above. Evaluations I provide include ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, a variety of psychiatric/psychological conditions (e.g., OCD, anxiety-related, depressive disorders, personality disorders, etc.), pre-police employment, pre-mission, pre-surgery, and learning disabilities (e.g., accommodations for standardized exams, college, social security benefits). I strive to be very thorough in my evaluations and give specific, evidence-based feedback and resources in my follow up sessions.

At YPS we hope to partner with you and your family. YPS has been a leading provider of services in central Florida since opening in 2013. As a clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Yount has conducted hundreds of evaluations, worked with various ages across many settings: outpatient, inpatient, professional athletes, college students, etc. We now have a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on staff who provides ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 8 years old for early intervention.
