I practice client-centered therapy. I believe you are the best expert on your own life, and I see my role as a facilitator of your journey toward healing and growth. With 15 years in mental health and 30 years in social work, I've had the privilege of working with adults facing a wide array of mental health and other challenges, from depression and anxiety to relationship problems, to substance use disorders and PTSD. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you will feel heard, understood, and supported. I share evidence-based, research-validated strategies you can apply to current concerns and future challenges.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative. Together, we will explore which therapy approaches fit your specific challenges. Depending on your needs, these may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy.
I maintain a judgment-free zone so you can discuss whatever is on your mind. Schedule a free 15 minute introductory appointment, and I will listen carefully to understand you and your needs from your point of view. I will tell you if I think a different therapist might be a better fit for your needs, and you can decide if I am the right therapist for you.
