Hello, my name is Jeremiah Henderson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Texas. I have over 7 years of experience working with depression, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, low motivation, trauma, and anger. Making changes in life can be difficult. Regaining your balance after the shock and impact of trauma, grief and loss can be overwhelming and feel as if nothing will get better. Relationships are important to you, yet sometimes bring on difficult feelings. Life after recovering from substance use can be challenging to navigate and can feel strange. You’ve taken the first step by reaching out. The good news is that you don't have to do it alone.

Life's path can be quite dark and confusing at times. When it is, you can often experience anxiety, depression, maladaptive behaviors, a lack of connectedness with others and lose a sense of purpose. Much of life is trying to satisfy similar basic emotional/social needs, yet everyone's experience is unique in getting there. You, as an individual, are a one of a kind entity and should have this acknowledged and treated accordingly. I have applied this view point of therapy to a host of presenting problems: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, various stages of life, and others.

My name is Danny Clark, and I am a licensed therapist specializing in men's issues, parenting issues, grief therapy, children's play therapy, therapy for depression and anxiety, and adult trauma therapy.
Less than 16% of therapists in Texas are male, which may very well be why so many men don’t go to therapy. I specialize in men’s issues including fatherhood, life transitions and stigma. Additionally, families often need support when raising their children. I work with families and children through difficult transitional times, such as grief, school anxiety, college transitions, and family communication.

I work with clients who have experienced trauma, whether it be recent or in childhood, those experiencing grief as a result of loss or from other life experiences, people facing terminal illness and the end of life, and those who are interested in engaging in a psychodynamic process to develop insight and awareness into how their past is expressing itself in the here and now. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to experience life more fully and to feel more at home in their bodies. Trauma and grief have a way of disconnecting us from our bodies, causing us to feel isolated and cut off from our own natural path toward healing.

Hi! I specialize in working with men. Specifically Hispanic males who struggle with depression, grief, trauma & imposter syndrome. I’m physically based in the Tampa Bay Area, I'm licensed in FL, TX, VA, UT & CT. As the son of Salvadorean immigrant parents, I’ve seen how stigma keeps men from seeking counseling. It's why I’m an advocate for mens mental health. As a therapist who's been in therapy, I also know what its like to deal with stigma. Its why I strive to have a down to earth conversation, oftentimes while drinking some "cafecito" (In English that means coffee, preferably cafe bustelo).

Life is tough. Let’s talk about it. We will make some goals, and get you back on track to living your best life where therapy is no longer needed. With stressors like anxiety, grief, depression, life changes or lack of clear vision for the future, life can be tough at the best of times and seemingly impossible at the worst.

My focus areas as a psychologist are: Personal and Professional Development, Trauma Recovery, and Existential Anxieties. I help professionals in high-pressure careers improve how they manage their mental health and relationships. I also help those who have survived trauma to heal and move forward with greater meaning and confidence. My approach to therapy also helps me to address existential concerns, such as major life transitions, loss of purpose/direction, and dealing with death and loss. I have training and experience in the treatment of most psychological concerns.

Welcome to your journey of healing and growth. Is stress, anxiety or sadness causing you to feel unmotivated, or difficulty being productive, moving forward or making decisions? Then you are not alone! Unexpected life events may increase uncertainty and stress in us or our loved ones, and sometimes this can make us withdraw, feel helpless, stuck, or to engage in unhealthy habits and behaviors. I believe we all have the potential and inner resources to gain clarity, strength and find solutions to our day to day challenges. I'd be glad to help serve as a guide and catalyst in your journey of healing and personal empowerment.

I treat adolescents, young adults, and adults for various issues including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.
Empathy, being genuine, and having a non-judgmental attitude are the three most important parts of my therapeutic approach. I believe personal growth thrives best under these conditions and I’d like the opportunity to explore what you want to work on in this type of understanding environment.

I have been honored to work in the mental health field for 7 years. During my tenure I have worked with individuals suffering from Grief, Bereavement, Depression, Bi-polar disorder, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, you name it, I have most likely seen it. Although working through these illnesses with individuals has been rewarding, the greatest moments have been celebrating the small victories clients make during the process of recovery. I have had the pleasure of witnessing the growth and seeing change through providing person-centered therapy.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
