C.G. Jung said “the right way to wholeness is made up, unfortunately, of fateful detours and wrong turnings. It is a longissima via, not straight but snakelike, a path that unites in the manner of a guiding caduceus, a path whose labyrinthine twists and turns are not lacking in terrors.”

I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals. Many people come to me because they're experiencing problems in various areas of their life and they need someone to share things they can't share with anyone else.

My approach is Depth-oriented, transpersonal, relational, existential-humanistic.
I work with clients who are (highly) sensitive, empathic, or intuitive. Sensitive people have a finely attuned nervous system that is a huge gift when made conscious. They experience life deeply, yet don't always feel easily understood by others. Growing up, they often experienced not fitting in, and have adapted to a largely non-sensitive world in myriad ways that didn't always serve their best interest. I support sensitive people on their path to finding their voice, experiencing genuine relationships, purposeful work, and reclaiming their space in the world.

"Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us." - Meister Echkart. I am an integral psychotherapist who specializes in working with adult individuals and couples. My approach is person-centered, and I believe that clients benefit most from the truth that they, themselves, discover. My training is grounded in transpersonal psychotherapy, which is informed by depth psychology, existential/humanistic perspectives, and perennial philosophy.

I use mindfulness and transpersonal approaches to help you find strength, authenticity, connection, and freedom.
You may be noticing that you don't feel like yourself and wondering if there's something wrong with you. Your relationship has changed, it's hard to get any work done or focus. You dread getting out of bed, which leaves you feeling guilty and stuck. Or maybe you just worry about everything. You want to connect more deeply with your friends, or to experience the love in your relationship that you used to feel. You want more excitement and meaning. And on top of it all, you feel that no one understands what you go through or you have no one to talk to about it: you feel alone.

My work is informed by transpersonal psychology, ecopsychology and eco-therapy.
The world around us, and we as individuals, are going through tremendous social and ecological changes. I support individuals experiencing eco-despair, eco-rage, and eco-anxiety arising from eco-empathy, a deep care and concern for the Earth. I have extensive background in working with trauma, especially complex/relational trauma and adverse early childhood experiences. As a marriage and family therapist, I work with people of all relationship styles to foster and build “custom relationships” that work for their personal needs and life circumstances. LGBTQI/CNM celebrating and support spiritual, religious, and cultural diversity.

Through integrative approaches grounded in cross-cultural and transpersonal psychology, consciousness studies, somatic therapy, earth-based spirituality and mindfulness, I offer compassionate support as you uncover your truth and rewrite your own story of trauma and self-denial.
You often ask yourself, "What's wrong with me? Why can't I function like anyone else?" You've internalized failure, powerlessness and shame, feeling trapped and stuck with no way out. But where did it all begin? I doubt "something is truly wrong with you." In fact, I believe you're just noticing that things have not been sustainable and you long for a change and an opportunity at life— that's a sign of your sanity!

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and incorporates attachment based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and transpersonal therapy.
I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, and relational dynamics in a holistic way. I believe that our past experiences, both positive and challenging, shape who we are. When those challenging patterns are stuck and hidden in the subconscious they can run our lives. My goal is to help clients explore their subconscious patterns and bring choice into the equation. I have a strong background supporting clients who have experienced trauma and struggle with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. I welcome teens, adults, and families in my practice.

I use EMDR liberally, and specialize in Mindfulness practice and Transpersonal perspectives.
If life is suffering, as it was said long ago, what is the meaning of both suffering and life? The real secret seems to be that through suffering we transcend suffering. Engaging in our legitimate suffering – manifesting as anxieties and depressions – brings us beyond the narrow egocentric view into a broader compassion and understanding, which is essentially a place of peace. I am not here to heal you but to help guide you to the place of self-healing. I have seen enough of both suffering and self-healing to know whereof I speak. Let's talk about what troubles you and find your unique path to resolution and acceptance.

For me, healing by definition, is the process of returning to wholeness. Yet, what that means is unique to each individual. Here in lies the journey. I hold great passion, and respect, for the potential we all have to create change in our own lives. I approach change through a trauma-informed, somatic (body-based), and Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA) foundation. In conjunction with an intuitive and empathetic approach, I strive to create a safe, supportive space for folx to explore their inner worlds and the challenges that may be holding them back from a sense of wholeness.

Becoming a therapist came to me during my own long journey into self-discovery and growth. To be in full integrity, it is important that you know that I continue to do this work because this is more than a profession to me. It is a way of life and part of my daily practices. I strive to foster a safe therapeutic relationship by meeting my clients in full acceptance of their beliefs, values, and cultural experiences. That builds the foundation for you to show up for yourself, to explore how you came to be, how you are now, and how you wish to evolve. “Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.” -Napoleon

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
