Dr. Serrano received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Dr. Serrano has also received specialized training in Forensic Psychology during her postdoctoral training and has spent the last 17 years of her career conducting psychodiagnostic assessments, crisis management, individual therapy, and pre-parole evaluations for inmates remanded to state correctional facilities.
Dr. Serrano is passionate about creating an environment where clients feel safe, understood, and hopeful. She views empowerment as a catalyst for assisting clients in making successful and healthy changes in their lives. That being said, she believes that therapy cannot progress positively without a strong therapeutic relationship.
