Please note: I am accepting clients to begin working together in late January 2025. My therapeutic approach is anti-oppressive and decolonial, rooted in my own experiences as queer, South Asian, immigrant, and Muslim-raised. I understand experiences as shaped by larger sociopolitical and cultural contexts of power, and am invested in supporting you to explore the manifestations of complex, collective, and vicarious trauma in your life. My professional background lies primarily in supporting survivors of partner violence and queer and trans individuals.
In my work, I am relational and psychodynamic in approach. I also understand the body as a critical site of trauma healing and as such, I integrate experiential modalities into my work, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) lenses.
I am especially passionate about working with survivors, people of color, queer and trans people of color, and immigrants. I look forward to creating a therapeutic space with you with abundant room for collaboration, vulnerability, healing, and joy.
