My work with adults has been focused on assisting those who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and life changes.
I believe therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist, working together to understand and shift patterns that may not be working for you anymore. I understand the strength it takes to face challenges and the sense of vulnerability that goes along with it. I believe the relationship that develops between client and therapist fosters a comfortable space where honest dialogue can happen. My approach is straightforward, encouraging and comes with a bit of humor as a way to remind ourselves that life is supposed to be enjoyed.

I have worked with youth/adults in the areas of stress, trauma, relationship and life transitions.
*Currently accepting clients via telehealth* In a world of constant transitions, it can be challenging to feel settled with change. Therapy is an outlet to discuss, explore and change aspects of our lives that are causing distress. Therapy allows a supportive, non-judgmental space to talk through feelings and engage our strengths to cope with life's changes. I provide action-oriented, supportive, feminist, and person-centered psychotherapy. I am a bi-lingual (Spanish-speaking) and bi-cultural therapist that understands cultural influences and can express feelings and thoughts in a language that my clients feel comfortable.

We have experience with anxiety, depression, sexual assault and various types of relationship concerns.
We believe that being the best version of ourselves requires work. Many things can obstruct our path toward self-improvement. We enjoy accompanying our clients on their path and helping them to overcome their challenges. Individuals often become entrenched in patterns of behavior and relationships that are difficult to escape. But if we can assist our clients in honestly assessing their motivations, we believe they can live authentic, meaningful lives every day.

If you are looking for premarital or marriage counseling, if you want to be happy but questioning if it is possible, if you want to stop feeling disconnected and discouraged about where your relationship is headed and instead rebuild trust and intimacy, schedule an appointment today.
Most couples want a marriage where they can be vulnerable with each other. Where intimacy and loyalty come together and create a beautiful friendship where they can experience the fullness of life together. The problem is, many couples often feel isolated and uncared for because of unmet expectations, miscommunication, and mistrust. I know it's frustrating when you feel like you aren't on the same team or how sad it feels when you second-guess if you made the right choice when you said “I do.”

Relationships are challenging and trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, worry, shame and guilt are just some of the things that can hinder you from not only achieving a healthy relationship but also being the best version of yourself. As a Couples and Family therapist I help individuals, couples and families achieve relationship satisfaction, gain a deeper understanding of self and each other and heal from wounds that are negatively impacting the ability to heal. I believe that each individual in a relationship has their own individual thoughts and beliefs that are impacted by childhood and the families we are born into.

Together, we can develop a client/therapist relationship in a safe supportive space, that offers an outlet to express emotions, inner thoughts, fears, and dreams.
Feeling stuck? Trapped by life? Helpless? Our daily routines can often result in a feeling of complacency that can prevent your life from changing. You know that gut feeling that lingers...this is your intuition letting you know a change is needed & I’m here to encourage you that change is possible. That quiet voice knows what you need, and your needs are important, yet often ignored. Self care is not selfish, it’s necessary. It’s a focus on stressing less about what’s out of our control, and making that choice to prioritize personal needs. You cannot pour into your relationships, family, job, or responbilities if you are empty.

My specializations include attachment focused EMDR, perinatal mental health, insecure attachment, anxiety, and trauma. My greatest responsibility is building and nurturing the relationship that we establish so as to create a secure and trusting environment where you can honestly discuss any topic of importance and know you will be supported.
They say finding the right therapist is a lot like dating; you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince, err...therapist. It can feel overwhelming to wade through hundreds of profiles searching for the perfect one. Usually by the time you're reaching out for help, life has taken a turn for the worse and you want to find relief quick! So let's get to it. Why are you here now? What do you want from a therapist? How do you want to feel? I am here to act as a guide, to listen, support, and challenge you to make positive changes towards your goals.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
