I collaborate with participants to plan creative solutions and positive coping behaviors in order to address a wide variety of experiences, including: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem and self-worth, stress, symptoms related to post-traumatic stress, vicarious trauma, being in relationship with a trauma survivor, substance use/ abuse, self-care, and addressing negative coping behaviors. I have worked extensively with survivors of sexual violence, people who have experienced domestic violence, combat Veterans, and other survivors of complex trauma.
I use a variety of tools in my practice, including the use of art-making as another mode of expression and creative space for problem-solving. I am EMDR trained. I may integrate mindfulness and meditation techniques, somatic work, and Internal Family Systems into sessions in order to best support the therapeutic process.
There are many paths to healing, health, and well-being. I look to meet people wherever they are on their journey and walk for a while, along-side them. I believe whole-heartedly in the power of creative expression and the role that it can play in health and healing. If you are needing support at this time, I look forward to connecting with you.
