I use EMDR to support clients in working through moments of fear, overwhelm, limiting beliefs and traumatic memories.
My passion is working with trans and queer people, especially in navigating self, presence and identity. Additionally, a service I offer is to write letters required for gender-affirming care, surgery and/or procedures. I'm also trained as a psychic, so another passion of mine is Spiritual Guidance. This is for clients who are interested in accessing deeper parts of self and connecting to their essence, through energy work. Psychic readings, visualizations, past life readings and energy healings are all within my scope of practice. I believe that healing is a conglomeration of body and spirit, and one cannot exist without the other.

I also use several other tools to help clients including EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness-based strategies.
Sometimes life stress piles up and we find ourselves needing to talk things through with someone. Starting or returning to therapy is a courageous step so it’s important to find the right therapist. I work with people who may be struggling with anxiety at work or in relationships, emotional pain from the past, struggles with sex and intimacy, and navigating life transitions. Often times my clients want to see changes take shape in their life. These changes may look like feeling more confident and self-assured, more present with the people they care most about, enjoying a more fulfilling sex life, and a sense of self-mastery.

I will offer support, direct feedback, & coping strategies to provide you with skills and more immediate relief, while we work toward increased insight and improved self-awareness, achieving lasting growth and change.

This includes Relational and Attachment Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Therapy is about allowing ourselves space to process and to heal. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with past and present trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and relationship issues. I offer a warm, nonjudgemental space to process your emotions and experiences and gain awareness into patterns and blind spots that you would like to change. Through this awareness, you can then start to foster meaningful change to create the life you want to live. Living a fulfilling life is rooted in intentionality, and intentionality starts with awareness.

I am skilled at brain-based tools including mindful meditation, neurofeedback, EMDR, hypnosis, and Interactive Metronome.
Life can be hard, especially in today's world. It's easy to feel isolated, overwhelmed, and disconnected. If you're struggling with depression, focus, anxiety, burnout, sleep, or simply feeling stuck, you're not alone. Many people I see have goals they want to achieve and are not where they want to be. They experience a loss of energy due to barriers that hold them back such as Internet addiction, procrastination, and lack of confidence. I specialize in helping individuals navigate these challenges and find their path to healing and growth.

My specialty is infusing cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR (for trauma) with Mindfulness (Breathwork/Yoga/Meditation) & Music and Sound therapy.
Our world is changing at such a rapid pace. You may feel it's difficult to cope with all these shifts in your life, and to keep up with daily routines. We have all been through a huge upheaval the past several years. Are you looking for a safe, non-judgmental place to process some of these challenges? Or maybe you need some tools and resources to help you (or a loved one) manage anxiety, stress or trauma. Maybe your child/tween/teen/20 yr old has become surprisingly disagreeable, spending less time with family, pushing you away. You may notice changes in appearance, or name. Whether sudden or gradual, you may not know how to cope.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
