About
You are overwhelmed with work and your personal life and feel like you haven't tapped into your true potential. My name is Kirk Johnson and I'm a Licensed Counselor/Therapist. My clients typically start therapy to improve their stress/anxiety management, interpersonal relationships, ADHD management/identity exploration, self-confidence, and relationship with trauma. Often times, we need to go deeper to find meaning in their past and present experiences. These conversations work to create pathways to understand the narratives you tell yourself, can help stabilize big feelings, and build inner strength.
I have an integrative therapeutic approach, which I tailor to help my clients specific mental health needs. Each treatment plan is personalized to help clients reach their personal/psychotherapy goals. I often draw on psychodynamic tools, like CBT, internal family parts, and EMDR to help clients stabilize their anxiety and self-regulate.
All clients have the empowering agency they seek. To find empowerment, we must uncover the narratives and identities that protect your authentic self! I look forward to helping you build awareness on which stories empower you and which are a relic of the past. Reach out to schedule a phone consultation! I'm also a telehealth provider in IL and FL.
