I am experienced in working with clients with drug and alcohol addiction and families or spouses who are dealing with their loved one who is addicted.I have worked in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Centers. I have extensive experience in working with depression and anxiety and patients who are dually diagnosed. I enjoy talking with clients about how to find a better life that they are looking for and helping people to grow in their emotional, mental and spiritual journey.

My ideal client is motivated. I have been a licensed psychologist for 19 years. I graduated from Villanova University and worked as a cognitive therapist at the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Hospital before opening my own group practice, Addiction & Psychological Therapy. The group specializes in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive thinking, OCD, ADHD, depression, marital and family counseling, alcoholism and crisis clients, treating children, adolescents and adults. I also have a forensic program treating Anger Management and DUI's. We offer ARD & IPP Evaluations, Anger Management Evaluations, Drug and Alcohol Assessments and Mental Heath Evaluations, and Suboxin treatment.

My therapeutic approach is informed by my background in meditation, Eastern contemplative philosophy, and evolutionary psychology. I work with clients to establish a treatment plan that is uniquely sensitive to their particular clinical needs and concerns. Some of the most common techniques I employ focus on the important relationship between body and mind; these experiential, somatic, and cognitive interventions allow for critical shifts in perspective that promote meaningful and enduring behavioral change.

Though it can seem impossible at times, we are all capable of change with a little help. Therapy provides us with a safe space to vent and heal recent wounds, and encourages personal growth through self awareness and understanding others. I work primarily with adults and teens over 14 years of age who are struggling with issues such as mood disorders, eating disorders, interpersonal relationship struggles, performance anxiety, and adjustment to recent life changes.

I believe in multiple therapeutic approaches, understanding each person is an individual. I have a particular interest in working with children and fathers. I am a genuine lover and believer in humanity and feel this is felt by my clients. I use humor and non-traditional forms of therapy to build rapport and help each client feel they can overcome whatever barriers, struggles, or hardships life faces them with.
