I believe in multiple therapeutic approaches, understanding each person is an individual. I have a particular interest in working with children and fathers. I am a genuine lover and believer in humanity and feel this is felt by my clients. I use humor and non-traditional forms of therapy to build rapport and help each client feel they can overcome whatever barriers, struggles, or hardships life faces them with. If talk therapy hasn't worked for you before, we will work together to figure out what is best, using creative forms (art, music, poetry) or perhaps going for a walk while talking.
I have been an active member of the human services field for over 25 years. My post graduate training has included Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), Drug and Alcohol counseling, Anger Replacement Therapy, Restorative Practice and Mindfulness.
I have experience working with drug and alcohol, at risk youth, the terminally ill, mis-represented fathers, family therapy, and typical youth looking for a different kind of support and guidance as they navigate life's challenges.
