Let’s face it. Finding a therapist is a daunting task! There are so many variables to consider and it can be hard to know where to even start. In hope of making this process a little easier for you, let me take a few minutes to tell you about myself and how I practice. Life and experience have repeatedly shown me that the therapeutic relationship is instrumental for change and healing. As a result, I work to create an atmosphere in which each person feels safe and understood. Life has a way of wearing us down, and while we do the very best we can to get through, we can’t always do it on our own. My hope is to create an environment in which you feel supported and empowered on your journey. You are the only expert in you, and I am here to support your process of growth and healing, while equipping you with the tools to be successful. The process of therapy is sacred and one I take very seriously, but I also think it is important to have some fun and share a few laughs! Life is hard enough as it is!

I believe every individual has the power within to reach a state of inner peace and harmony. While you may be feeling this way now, you are capable of finding relief. As we work together collaboratively, I will meet you where you are at, to help guide you to find your inner peace by breaking down barriers and learning healthy coping strategies.
Welcome! My name is Casey and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience and a native Oregonian. I work to provide a calm and peaceful environment where healing can happen. In treatment I focus heavily on increasing awareness through the use of mindfulness. For example, consider how much time we spend thinking about the past or future compared to the present. Too much time in the future breeds anxiety while too much time in the past breeds depression. The present is where we find peace even for just a moment. I Provide both Telehealth and In Person Treatment

Sometimes, as humans, we get wounded in ways that are so deep, they are difficult to name. Perhaps you have lost loved ones along the way, or can't find meaning in your story. Have you ever inventoried your life to discover that it is not what you want it to be? Do you feel haunted by memories? Maybe you engage in self-destructive or numbing behaviors that you wish you could change, but find that making those changes is easier said than done. My goal is to create a trustworthy space where we can work through whatever it is you bring in, on your search for healing, fulfillment, and wholeness.
Are you irritable, edgy, have trouble feeling heard? Is it difficult for you to leave the house or be around other people? Have trouble sleeping or problems with energy and motivation? Do you feel judged or misunderstood? Is it difficult for you to enjoy the activities and interests that used to delight you? I have been there and have the training, education, and experience to tailor your therapy to your specific wants and needs.
My education is in dual diagnosis both Mental Health and Addiction issues. I have experience in working with both men and women of adult ages. My passion is to help people deal with past trauma of all variations in a healthy way. We tend to mask or cover up our pain with unhealthy coping skills. Past trauma can lead to unhealthy behaviors, unexplained emotions, or thoughts, such as anxiety, depression, inability to maintain health relationship, inability to make changes or abuse of alcohol or drugs.
One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own journey. My role in that process is to offer kind and compassionate support so that you can identify what isn’t working in your life and make the changes that will lead to healing and improved wellness. I see therapy as a collaborative relationship where both of our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions. Most importantly, I believe that my clients know themselves better than anyone and are their own (and my) best resource to making positive life changes.
I think of my approach to helping people as a collaborative and educational one. Most people who come in for therapy are wanting to make a change in their lives but are struggling in some manor. I feel that the best way to implement change is through one's thoughts (cognitions), feelings, and behaviors-this kind of approach is known as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT).
A person needs to welcome the challenges and opportunities in his or her life with a clear and calm mind - These are the cognitive and behavioral aspects of CBT.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to helping people like you learn how to take control of their lives and build healthy, satisfying relationships. My work focuses on relieving old pain, challenging dysfunctional patterns of thought and behavior, and helping you be your best. I believe that we all have the potential for growth, development, and—ultimately—joy. Together, we can help you identify and expand your range of choices, search for solutions, and empower you to exercise your agency more consciously and effectively.
My hopes are to support you in the discovery and growth of your own being and in living your best life. That which feels meaningful, thriving, well and enriching. To not just learn and understand how to find deep healing, happiness and freedom in your life, but to also feel, integrate and experience these things. I provide a warm, genuine, collaborative and validating sacred space in which your story can safely be shared and held with psychological, sociological and spiritual depth.
