I utilize the process of mutual exploration of issues that stem from the past while staying rooted in the present issues that prompted the decision to seek out help. In times of crisis, I shift into a more active role and focus on skills coaching and managing stress. I provide individual therapy to adolescents, adults, and older adults and have experience treating families and couples.

I am a psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of the whole person through a highly individualized approach that we will co-construct together. My approach involves taking a very thorough history but most importantly listening to your concerns. I work well with people who have both long and short term issues. I specialize in helping people who have personality disorders, alcohol/drug issues, sexuality issues and histories of trauma. As an adolescent/young adult specialist (ages 15-25) I can work with both the young person and their family and will develop a concise formulation of the dynamics that will be useful to all.

My greatest strength is engaging clients, making them feel comfortable with me and the theraputic process right off the bat. I create an environment of trust, lack of judgment, empathy, and most importantly hope. Once trust between myself and the client has been established, I challenge clients to reach beyond their comfort zone. In my office, which is a nurturing environment, I can expose patients who have obsessive, anxious, depressed, or self destructive thoughts to other ways of being and seeing the world. I work with clients of all ages (from 6 years to 60 years) to conquer fears and lead freer, more content lives.

My background is in treating depression, anxiety, anger, and PTSD in adolescents and young adults. Additionally, I work with clients to help negotiate family stress, peer conflict, relationship issues, and loss. My hope is that through honest communication we build resilience and coping skills for life.
