I am a psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of the whole person through a highly individualized approach that we will co-construct together. My approach involves taking a very thorough history but most importantly listening to your concerns. I work well with people who have both long and short term issues. I specialize in helping people who have personality disorders, alcohol/drug issues, sexuality issues and histories of trauma. As an adolescent/young adult specialist (ages 15-25) I can work with both the young person and their family and will develop a concise formulation of the dynamics that will be useful to all.
I have advanced training in psychoanalytic individual and group therapy. I am also a couples and family therapist. My style is interactive and engaging and directive when appropriate. My approach has been helpful for people in crisis and who also want to achieve long lasting change.
I have been an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University teaching Adolescent Clinical Practice. I have been a Supervisor, Coordinator and Primary Therapist at Bronx Psychiatric Center and Four Winds Hospital and I was Clinical Director of The Post Graduate Center for Mental Health's East Side Clinic in NYC.
