Children and adolescents have always been my main focus. They are often incredibly honest and once you get the heart of their behaviors it usually makes a lot of sense. The most common issues I've treated include: trauma / abuse, depression, anxiety, family conflict, substance abusing family members, co-dependency, mood disorders, self-injury, PTSD, self-medicating behaviors, acting out behaviors. Including the family is critical when working with children and adolescents. Therefore, family systems theory guides my interventions accordingly. There may be many factors that cause the problem, but the family is always a necessary element in the solution.

I am a clinical social worker, and owner of Roque Mental Health Counseling, LLC. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, and familial difficulties. My goal is to help each person I meet with to recognize their strengths and help them to advocate for their needs effectively. My specialty in practice is counseling individuals who are dealing with life transition issues. Hello. My name is Laura Leone and I am in private practice that offers a lovely out-patient office setting. I have been involved in emotional health education and training for decades and completed my Master's in Mental Health in 2012. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey and my passion includes serving children, adolescents, adults and families to assist and assess in bringing stabilization and effective intervention in a timely manner. In addition to assisting with behavioral challenges, I serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
