I am an LGBTQIA+-identifying licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of NH, and an out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of FL (flhealthsource.gov/telehealth). I work with adults (ages 18+) who are seeking care to create lasting change and wellness.

Anxiety and depression can make it virtually impossible to experience joy and contentment. We might imagine a catastrophic future or constantly relive a difficult past. Problems don't get solved and we feel stuck. Therapy can help us think about our lives more clearly and align our actions with our intentions.

A Yale, Dartmouth and Lehigh trained Psychologist, I run a full-time private practice and hold an appointment as a Lecturer in Extension at Harvard University. I am licensed in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. I completed my Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Yale University (2015) where I won a Leadership Award for Outstanding Contributions. I then completed my Post-Doctoral Fellowships at Harvard University (Research) and Dartmouth-Hitchcock (Clinical). Prior to starting my private practice, I was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Dartmouth.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, who graduated from Southern New Hampshire University. I have experience working as a counselor for Substance Misuse and Medication Assistant Program. I also provided therapeutic counseling in a psychiatric inpatient hospital. Additionally, I have assisted clients in the community and in a private practice setting, working with clients of 18 years and older.

I have met plenty of people who have had poor experiences with therapy in the past, so I strive to be someone who can change their minds. I do my best to be real, respectful, and supportive of the people I work with while they grow to their fullest potential. I believe that helping someone to better understand their emotions, use their voice, build confidence, and work through any obstacles that hold them back, can lead to a happier, more fulfilling life.

We all face challenges, struggles and hardships, some more than others. Many have family and friends who journey with us. Yet, there are times when we need a trusted, trained professional to journey with us in identifying, clarifying and resolving issues that hamper our ability to live freely, with deep meaning. The support, empathy, insight and encouragement I offer depends on the type of issue you are dealing with. The broad range of my work involves trauma recovery, transitions, depression, anxiety, relationships and the use of spirituality as a vehicle for healing.

Many of the individuals I work with find themselves feeling overwhelmed or trapped in self-defeating habit loops, hold negative beliefs about themselves, are experiencing post-traumatic stress, trouble coping with life's stressors and transitional phases, and issues of identity. Some have reached a point in which they can no longer accept life as it is and have decided that they want to make a change. Many others find that it is helpful to confide in someone regarding things they may have never before uttered out loud. My goal is to help my clients identify and achieve their goals and to be of service in any way that I can.

Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that is something to be admired. Being strong doesn't mean we have to work through everything on our own. I practice from the belief that no matter how stuck or lost you may feel, growth and healing are always possible.

I use a strengths-based approach to guide and challenge you through growth and healing. I offer a safe space for individuals to share and explore their journey. I empower people to trust themselves and learn to ride the waves of life with more confidence and strength. My approach provides individuals with healing through memories and experiences at their own pace. I also facilitate young and adolescent support groups.

I work with late teens, and adults primarily. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, sexual trauma, gender dysphoria, and life transitions. I have additional training in complex trauma, sexual trauma, and EMDR. My general goal for clients is creating a safe space where clients can develop coping skills, heal relational trauma, and heal. I work in the LGBTQIA+ community quite a bit, and have experience with issues specific to that community. I engage clients in music therapy if it's appropriate to their treatment, and interests.

In my practice, I have worked with people of all ages, families, and groups, with many unique needs they are seeking help with. Whether you want someone to just listen, have specific goals, or are unsure but know you would like help, I work with to build a trusting relationship to help you build the ways you cope, shift your thinking, or process your feelings.

Our thoughts, feelings and behaviors create our experiences. As a psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience, I feel that therapy is a process of creating change in those repetitive and maladaptive patterns leading to a better, more satisfying life. Therapy allows a person to explore and develop skills to effectively cope with personal and growth's transitions and challenges. I work with each individual on finding the right balance of mind, body, spirit connection that gives a person the ability to better assess for personal goals and plan for a more satisfying future.

I offer counseling services for those looking for telehealth sessions only. I provide flexible hours as stresses of work and life can make barriers on scheduling appointments. Treatment style are based on your needs, ranging from learning management around anxiety symptoms to understanding diagnosis and medication management. My personality is outgoing and extraverted so treatment can be somewhat enjoyable as mental health is already a difficult topic to navigate with someone.

I currently have openings only for upcoming trauma groups. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist who specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociation. I believe that healing from trauma is possible (as opposed to just learning how to cope with post-traumatic symptoms). I consider therapy a collaborative, creative process. Clinically, I am warm, active, innovative and data-driven, using EMDR, clinical hypnosis, inner child work, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, TF-CBT, EFT, mindfulness, the FLASH technique and polyvagal exercises.
