I use secure video teleconferencing Therapy so that my services are available to you in your homes at your convenience. Kairos Counseling Center has several therapists with specialties in individuals, couples, teenagers and children. We are privileged to have the partnership of Rebeca H. Lima. Online Therapy works very well and distance is not a problem so I can provide help to Portuguese speaking people anywhere they are.

Kimberly graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Kean University. Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Footprints began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

Over the years in my work with children, couples, families, as well as those struggling with substance use and other difficulties, I think about rocks. Specifically, rocks that weigh us down emotionally, due to difficult childhood experiences, troubling relationships, and from events or challenges one faces in their lives. Many clients come into counseling with the belief that they are inherently flawed. Inevitably, during our work together we uncover some of the rocks that weigh them down emotionally. The resulting awareness can be quite effective in relieving or reducing one from those old self-defeating messages.
