I've had the privilege to work for non-profit organizations and in a dual diagnosis clinic. I've had the opportunity to be a board member of various nonprofit organizations in Nebraska advocating for equitable mental health. Our mental health is no less vital than our physical health, but one area many of us choose to ignore. Often, we become out of balance with our emotions, career and relationships. We may lose a sense of control and only hope to numb the pain. Although life can feel complicated, what isn't complicated is our need to feel loved, respected and that we matter. Life happens to us and sometimes it's not pleasant. Issues from our past as well as current stress has a way of affecting our moods, behaviors, and relationships. When our own attempts to cope and resolve these issues are ineffective, it may be time to seek professional therapy. I have helped many individuals overcome and manage a variety of distressing thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I have 14 years of experience working in the mental health field. I worked for 8 years in a facility providing mental health and substance abuse treatment at the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I use a variety of tools to help you meet your individualized goals. I work with individuals on a variety of issues including anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and self-esteem. I provide substance abuse evaluations for $200 or a probation voucher.

Steve Brownrigg provides outpatient, substance abuse and chemical dependency counseling services to those affected by alcoholism and other addictions. I specialize in treating those clients with who are Dually-Diagnosed, with mental health disorders in addition to addiction issues. I am Certified by EMDRIA in the use of EMDR for Sexual Trauma and other Childhood issues. I also offer couples counseling and co-dependency counseling for significant others. Often, spouses or significant others begin counseling in advance of the alcoholic/addict to work on their own issues and to learn how to effectively deal with their loved one.
