As a clinical social worker, I am passionate about aiding clients in the healing and empowerment process. Whether it is difficulties with life's transitions or ongoing issues related to mood disorders, I take a holistic, intersectional approach with all of my clients in order to find the intervention(s) that best suit their individual needs and strengths. In particular, I focus on being an accepting and affirming environment for LGBTQi+ individuals. In general, my ultimate goal in treatment is to provide anyone and everyone a safe, stable environment where healing can occur.

Since 1992, I have had the honor of accompanying countless individuals in their journey towards living more authentic and satisfying lives. I am convinced that everyone possesses the ability to live their life to its fullest potential. As your counselor, my role is to help awaken you to this dormant power within. The clients I serve find themselves being negatively impacted by unfortunate experiences in their lives. The three most prevalent commonalities are anxiety, stress, and prolonged feelings of sadness or depression. These symptoms can be accompanied by experiences of loss; loss of appetite, money, function, energy, employment, relationships, and oftentimes pleasure. This psychological distress can be rooted in fear, guilt, loneliness, disappointment, anger, resentment, and simple dissatisfaction.

In today's ever changing world, teens and young adults face incredible difficulties and stressors. My passion is working with teens and young adults who face difficulties in navigating aspects of their lives. I have worked within the public school system for 10 years with high school students experiencing school anxiety, school avoidance, trauma and abuse, PTSD, crisis situations, suicidal ideation, and anxiety. My goal is to help others understand the root of what they are experiencing and to help them understand how to build resiliency within themselves.
