I believe that we all need a shoulder to cry on, a place to vent, and someone with whom to brainstorm new ideas. I routinely see clients with job-related stress, relationship concerns, substance abuse issues, and parenting needs. I also work with clients seeking to improve their conflict-resolution, communication, and social skills, in addition to self-esteem. I strive to help my clients overcome depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma by teaching valuable coping skills.
I rely primarily on solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems therapeutic approaches to address a client's presenting concerns. In addition, I am certified in the administration and interpretation of the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory to assess for drug/alcohol-related issues and determine an appropriate course of treatment.
