I am a 2001 graduate from The University of Alabama holding a Masters of Social Work with 21 years of experience working within community mental health and private settings. I am licensed to practice clinical social work in multiple states to include Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, and Maryland.

Life is incredible, but it is not without challenges. I help distant couples, frustrated kids and parents, and families dealing with life's challenges.

I work with adult individuals and couples trying to improve themselves and their relationships with others. I am passionate about helping you become the best version of yourself. My training as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, along with many of the same life experiences, enables me to assist you in sorting out problems and issues you feel you would like to work on and improve.

I believe we were created to be in connection with other people but often our experiences and unhealthy relationships have made that difficult. The support and connection from a skilled therapist can be invaluable when you find yourself in those broken moments. It is my hope that for at least one hour each week, you can come, sip on some coffee or tea and not feel like you have to fix everything on your own.

After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1996, Kris began his career working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He earned his Masters Degree in Counselor Education in 2001, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2008. Since then Kris has worked in Inpatient Psychiatric and Outpatient Settings. He has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) for children, the Gottman Method Level 2 for Couples Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in helping those who struggle with anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, and trauma. I have a Master's Degree from The University of Mississippi in Counselor Education with a focus on Community Mental Health Counseling, and received my Bachelor's Degree in History from Mississippi State University. Outside of the counseling setting I enjoy exercising, baking, and spending time with my family as well as my dogs.

I have been in private practice as a licensed clinical social work. since 1989. I have a master's degree from Tulane University where I served on the advisory board for the School of Social Work. I was a consultant at the Master's and Johnson Sexual Trauma Unit in New Orleans, trained in critical incident debriefing, and served as a divorce and custody mediator for the courts in Louisiana. I enjoy working with adults both individually and as couples. I enjoy helping people find patterns that no longer work for them and teaching new strategies for coping and growing.
