As a woman living with a life long birth defect, Spina Bifida, I have personal experience and a unique perspective on how disability can impact anxiety issues. I work with women to let them know they are not alone in their stress and anxiety, regardless of their circumstances. I also understand how debilitating grief can be and helping others in an area where there seems to be too little support and attention, the loss of our animal companion/family members, has become a passion of mine. I believe that everyone has a story and my goal is to make every woman who comes to me feel heard, validated, safe, and respected.

The plan we have for our lives doesn't always align with how it is playing out. I enjoy working with people who are experiencing difficult life issues, often related to relationships and/or cultural expectation of who they "should" be. I support individuals and couples who are stuck in a moment of confusion, grief, hopelessness, or despair, helping them figure out how to manage difficult challenges. I particularly appreciate opportunities to work with those in the process of exploring gender identity and sexual orientation, racial identity, and acute life/work crises such as grief, loss, and other traumas, including critical events.

My primary focus as a counselor is helping clients reach their highest potential. Sometimes clients come to me when they are lost and feeling unsure what their next steps need to be. Other times clients are aware what they want their path to be, they just need encouragement and accountability to get themselves there.
