I have some in-person availability in St.
I have been a licensed psychologist for over twenty years. In addition, I've worked as a career counselor for over thirty. I specialize in the areas of life and work transitions, career development and change, and related challenges. Most people seek counseling around the issue of change. Sometimes it's a desire to discover or move toward a specific or general destination. Or, it can be about dealing with unexpected changes that have occurred and now have to be dealt with. My goal is to respectfully assist the people I work with deal with those changes.

I have been in private practice since 1991 and have previously worked in medical, rehabilitation, college counseling, and community mental health settings. I know that asking for help is not easy. Trusting someone you don't know with very personal information requires a leap of faith. Understandably, you may want to know what to expect, should you decide to work with me. Initially, I will work to identify the particular issues that you want to address and then collaborate with you to develop goals and strategies. Throughout the process, I will listen carefully, drawing out particular material for discussion and presenting new information to help you see yourself and your choices with a new perspective. I will suggest possible courses of action, recognizing that only you can decide whether to follow any suggestions that come from the counseling process.

I see clients in person on Thursdays, and virtually on Wednesday and Friday.
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to supporting adults—especially therapists, healers, helpers, and creatives—who are navigating the complex and often challenging landscapes of their identities. My ideal clients are those who find themselves pondering big, transformative ideas like social justice, dismantling white supremacy, challenging patriarchy, and rethinking capitalism. Together, we will explore the systemic forces that have shaped who you are and how they may be limiting your ability to show up authentically in the world.

Levi enjoys working with teens, emerging adults, adults, & in small groups. He puts an emphasis on emotional growth, relational depth, interpersonal skill-building, and creative self-expression. Those who seek deeper connection, emotional insight, and stronger relationships in their personal and professional domains tend to do well when working with Levi. He helps clients notice the (sometimes unfair) stories they tell themselves about who they are, often using narrative therapy to support clients. Levi believes that justice, kindness, and creativity are vital for helping people as a therapist. Humor is also an essential element.

I am passionate about working with teenagers and families as they navigate these years of growth and change. This time can be both exciting and challenging, and I am honored to be invited into this space with my clients. I take a down-to-earth, empathetic, and energetic approach in my therapy. I have been told by many of individuals I work with, that I am easy to talk to and create a comfortable, judgement free space to explore issues related to identity, self-worth, depression, and more. I believe every human has the basic need and desire to be known and valued, and I strive to provide this place of belonging for my clients.

I offer sessions in person or online.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you have been carrying stress, anxiety, trauma, or difficult experiences on your own for a long time. I approach therapy with a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to reach out for support. You do not have to keep managing everything by yourself. I offer a supportive, practical, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and begin building tools that make daily life easier. I see therapy as a collaborative and curiosity centered space where all parts of you can feel seen and heard. My style is relational, collaborative, and grounded.

I see clients ages 14 and up in-person in my St.
I believe that each of us possesses the tools to improve our lives. I prioritize teamwork with clients, as well as cultural sensitivity and proficiency with EMDR. I create a sense of safety with clients and believe in instilling a genuine sense of hope when working with people. I enjoy working with adults in their 20s and 30s who live with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma, and I specialize in incorporating EMDR into therapy. My specialty is working with empaths (people who feel their emotions or the emotions of others very deeply) and people who feel “cut off” from their emotions but have something they want to process.

Just opened for evening availability during the week for in person session.
Have you been struggling with depression, anxiety or PTSD? Do you find it hard to heal with so many things going on in the world? Maybe you're not even sure what you need, but you know you haven't been feeling yourself lately. You're not alone. It's hard to focus on your own needs with so much going on around you. I believe that healing from trauma is more than just a therapy modality. It takes time and it's scary. I want you to walk into my office, feel safe and learn culturally specific rooted coping skills. I want you to learn to love yourself, accept your body, and learn to nurture your needs in order to fully bloom.

I offer therapy sessions in-person or virtual to fit your needs during the week Monday through Friday with typical work hours of 9am-5pm.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel supported through challenges in one's life and should have a collaborative say in how that support looks through communication and fostering connections. I look forward to working with individuals to learn how to best support them and explore new ways to serve them and the community. Support and goals look different based on the individual, and I hope to foster motivation and encouragement for those to work towards their goals and make life more manageable and support their values and ideas on what is important to them in their experience.

After experiencing a devastating series of personal, relational, occupational, family, social, and spiritual obstacles in my life, my self-talk was often self-defeating. I was discontent, lacking purposeful, meaningful contact with others, and felt empty inside instead of accepting my reality and the changing interactions between the environment, others, and myself. I was caught between staying the same and recognizing and embracing change. Whether you are in a time of transition or a time of pain, I believe we all have the tools we need to walk toward a loving and meaningful life.

Primarily working with adults and older adolescents; in person or tele-health offered.
Emotional wellness starts with learning how to be mindful and present within your own life. Opening up and asking for support isn't easy; I can certainly empathize. In the past, I prided myself on solving things on my own, which I thought was "healthy emotional independence." However, throughout my experiences and struggles, I found clearer insight and more strength having an ally to open up to, an objective individual to gain perspective. It's nice to have a champion AND a challenger to help through life's curveballs. I would be honored to accompany and provide support on the path toward the best version of you

I am currently offering both in person &/or telehealth sessions for your convenience.
Have you had a recent change in your life and want a safe person to talk with to better understand yourself? Perhaps your feelings have felt more intense: anxiety, depression, confusion, or desire to find purpose to your life. You look around - seeking answers, understanding, & deeper healing. Maybe a life situation unfolded and you were suddenly on a path you never imagined (job loss, divorce, etc) or one you wanted to be on but it’s more stressful or different than what you thought (attending college or a new job). If this is you, I can support you. I approach all my clients with the understanding that we are capable of change.

Sessions are in person at my office in St.
Accepting new clients. You've worked hard to hold things together, but lately your body and emotions feel like they're running the show. Tension, fatigue, or sudden waves of emotion seem to come out of nowhere. You may notice yourself avoiding certain people or places, struggling to relax, or feeling constantly on alert. These reactions can feel confusing and isolating, especially when others don't understand that difficult experiences leave lasting imprints—not just in your mind, but in your body too. I offer psychotherapy informed by somatic and yoga therapy principles, helping you work through what your body is holding onto.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
