When anxiety takes a hold on your life, it can help to know you’re not alone.
Getting tangled up with anxiety can feel like playing tug-of-war. Worrying, ruminating, and "what if" thoughts take up can take up so much of your time, making it hard to enjoy the things you love. Maybe you've spent your days trying to fix the way you feel through yoga, meditating, exercising, and even traditional talk therapy. But nothing gives you much relief. You are still stuck and wondering how to get out. If you struggle with anxiety, panic, intrusive thoughts, or OCD…. you are not alone. You are not crazy. You can be back to your old self again. Therapy can help you to be present in your every day life.

By providing a setting that feels as warm and welcoming as home, and making scheduling simple via online booking, email, and phone/text options, I can help you glean more satisfaction from your life.
Life can be incredibly difficult. Even though you may look like you've got it all together, you feel like nobody sees the real you, the person that you want to be. You can't quite put your finger on it, but life just isn't as satisfying as you know it could be. Or maybe you’ve been bogged down by circumstances that keep you from moving forward. You haven’t been able to identify what you want your life to be all about. It isn’t easy to live a life that feels unrealized.

I work with clients dealing with loss and transition and those struggling with anxiety and depression. I help my clients learn to be more present in their lives. This reduces irritability, reactivity, and the feeling of being overwhelmed or preoccupied. Together, we work to increase awareness of where they hold tension in their bodies and what triggers this tension. Often, we identify the emotions that are underneath the anxiety and they begin to heal by learning to accept and “sit with” these difficult feelings with compassion. This allows more ease in interpersonal interactions, conflict resolution and more joy in life.

Whether you're dealing with burnout, stress, apathy, panic attacks, existential questions, anxiety, sadness, grief, stress, identity questions, or considering a life change, healing and growing can be complex and scary.
I help people become more fully themselves by reconnecting them with their strengths and discovering root causes. Finding a therapist can be intimidating and discouraging. But, it's worth it. If you're keeping it together on the outside but feeling burned out, tired, anxious, or apathetic; or if you feel off but you're not sure why; you're in the right place. My style blends candor with warmth, insight with empathy, existential ponderings with practical strategies, and humor with compassion.

If you are struggling, feeling stuck, or off your life path, please reach out.
Are you feeling overwhelmed and stuck? Do you find yourself in similar patterns or situations? It is helpful to seek out guidance and support from someone unbiased as they have the opportunity to see your story with fresh eyes so that insights may be provided on unhealthy patterns, limiting beliefs, and decisions. It is my goal to assist you on your path so you can have more confidence in managing whatever you may feel is blocking you from moving forward. Many times within therapy it feels like we are just treating the various symptoms that pop up, however, I like to get to the root of it so that true healing can occur.

Together, in a safe and confidential environment, we work to mitigate the impact of stress and address potential negative emotions that may interfere with your quality of life.
Supporting Parent Mental Health: The stress of parenting in our complex world can put a significant strain on parents' sense of well-being and mental health. As a parent, you may experience increased demands on your time, financial burdens, concerns about the health and safety of your child, distress about the impact of technology and social media, and experience the pressures of cultural expectations for you and for your child’s future. Given the complexity and intensity of parenting demands, you may feel uncertain about how to best care for yourself and guide your child.

This method helps you identify and release what no longer serves you and contributes in creating a life of peace and fulfillment.
Often a question asked prior to counseling is, am I thriving or simply surviving? Individuals question their life path and need help to figure out where to start exploring. We work together to identify strengths, areas of growth, and both are used to help cultivate a fulfilling life experience. Clients may feel there is a mismatch between their head and hearts so we also work to connect them which in-turn causes less uncertainty and confusion in life choices.

If you’re ready to stop chasing an impossible standard and start showing up for the life you actually want, you’re in the right place.
On the surface, you’re the picture of success—polished, driven, and downright enviable. Your resume reads like a “how-to” guide on acing life, and those around you probably see you as a model of discipline and achievement. But deep down, there's a different story. You feel like you’re one misstep away from being unmasked as an imposter or, worse, a failure. The perfectionism that once fueled you now feels like a relentless critic, and that ever-present pressure to stay on top of things is starting to drain your spark. The more you push, the more you feel stuck in a never-ending battle with yourself.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
