As a therapist, I want to maintain an open and honest dialogue with my clients that assists them in creating positive change in their marriages, families and individual lives. Having someone hold you accountable, as you take the necessary steps to correct unhealthy patterns, can be crucial to success. Too often, individuals choose to remain victims of their circumstances, rather than proactively changing their mindset, and becoming victors. I seek to empower clients through uncovering what may be hindering their growth.

I am a down to earth practitioner who will treat you with the respect and kindness needed to build a therapeutic relationship, but will also use a blunt no nonsense approach when needed. Positive Psycho therapy, along with CBT is often used to assist with many mental health concerns, but I understand you are the expert on you and I will work hard to meet you where you’re at in your therapy journey and will go as slow and fast as you are comfortable.

Hello, I'm Michelle! I am a Care Team Lead here at KCC as well as an intake coordinator. In my practice, I center my therapeutic approach around you. I believe in creating a space where you feel safe, accepted, and truly heard. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, knowing that you are brave for taking this step towards seeking support.

I’m a person-centered therapist, giving the client the power to direct where we go during session. Giving power back to the person is my highest priority. I want people to feel comfortable and safe to express themselves and process what they’re feeling. The conversation will have challenges to thought processes that aren’t working and to practice skills that are outside of what they may have tried in the past.

I provide a judgement free space for clients to process their emotions and life experiences. I am a good listener and encourager. I'm good at asking questions and helping clients come up with solutions to their life struggles and problems.

As your therapist, my goal is to empower your inherent strengths and abilities. I use a person-centered approach to guide sessions based on your priorities, concerns, and goals. Rather than focusing on the negative, I prefer to highlight my clients' strengths and successes. I believe that each of my clients has a unique perspective with their own intersectional identities, so I view my clients as the experts of their own experiences.

Sometimes in life we are faced with issues that seem like we can not rise above them. Whether its a loss of a loved one, marital issues, depression, low self- esteem, anger, anxiety, drugs and alcohol or just stress. These are things that come up and put us in a place where we feel as if we have no point of return. Life can be challenging and hard but together we can come up with a plan by using the best therapeutic process, to get your life on the right track.

You may be experiencing pain or feeling depressed or just not feeling quite right, but you at least recognize that things in your life aren't how you want them to be. You need to want to explore your inner you and what may be causing your experience. Honesty is a must and it goes both ways in order to develop the trust needed to conquer the challenges ahead. Open willingness to learn and attempt new methods of thinking.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. My ideal client is focused on personal growth and healing.

I have always desired to understand feelings, behavior and the human mind; always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. However, after leading many spontaneous counseling sessions with clients, witnessing the empowering feeling it brings to simply aid someone find a way forward, instead, I also became driven toward solving the questions that start with how. I would deem it a privilege to take the time with someone to answer how they can move forward from their situation and how they can deal with whatever hand life has dealt them.
