Many people come to me saying that they don't recognize themselves anymore or that they are not living the life they want to be living. They might feel plagued with negative thoughts, fear, anxiety and overall feel stuck because the things they were using to cope in the past are not helping them now. If you have been feeling this way, you are not alone! I have spent my career working in clinical leadership and providing care for clients struggling with eating disorders, PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression & body image concerns. I believe in providing empathy + evidenced-based treatments and the power of healing in community.

I aim to provide an empathic space where you can feel safe and I specialize in the following areas of treatment: eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, women's issues, undergraduate/graduate school mental health, life transitions, and stress management.
Have you found yourself struggling with your relationship with your body and food? Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, or struggling to heal from painful past experiences? Perhaps you even desire more connection with others in your life, but find it difficult to show your authentic self out of fear that you may not be “enough.” If so, know that your experiences matter and that it is possible to live a life that feels meaningful to you. As human beings we all need support and guidance in our lives and deserve a sense of peace. Therapy can be a remarkable way to heal and live more authentically.

I also have experience with eating disorders.
As a licensed social worker from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, I have a wide range of experience in different counseling therapies. I primarily work with DBT and ACT approaches within a psychotherapy setting. My life experience with multiple alternative communities has inspired me to counsel those within such communities who might hesitate to engage in therapy. A key focus of mine is on those who identify more with their online lives than their day-to-day ones.

My interests include (but are not limited to) the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, identity development, family discord, relationship challenges, sexual concerns, and life transitions.
I believe that we all have an inherent need to feel connected, seen, and understood and that is often where the growth, relief, and healing begins. My clinical work is based on a dynamic and relational approach that works collaboratively with clients to gain an understanding of how early experiences underlie behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and explore ways to connect with others. My approach is grounded in a social justice, sex-positive, and anti-oppressive lens, that posits an understanding of how systems of power and privilege manifest in individuals’ lives and impact individuals' ability to heal.

Many folks I work with struggle with anxiety disorders or eating disorders.
Are you looking for a therapist who is warm and caring, but also actively supports you in making necessary changes? I show up to sessions ready to listen and hold intense emotions. Through our conversations we will identify your hopes, fears, and stuck points. We will then work together to move you towards the life that you dream of. We will co-create homework, so that you can take what we discuss and practice it in your day-to-day life. Your homework might be reaching out to an old friend, or breathing through an urge to yell at your children, or taking that first step on a project you’ve been dreaming about for years.
