I do this using various modalities to include Cognitive behavioral therapy, Prolonged exposure, Solution Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems and other treatment as needed.
Hey y'all! My name is Danielle and I am one of the most down to earth therapist you will ever meet. I desire work with people who have neglected their mental health to “perform” for their careers, families, relationships, sports teams and other areas of obligation in their lives. This includes people in the public eye, athletes, people with self sacrificing professions, people who feel unseen, unheard , abandoned and distressed couples who are not getting their needs met.

I have completed advanced training in psychodynamic therapy, couple therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems.
Deciding to begin therapy can be a difficult step, but by building a supportive therapeutic relationship, we can understand what’s painful and troubling to you in a way that feels manageable. Maybe you’re not where you want to be in your life; you find yourself repeating familiar patterns and feeling stuck, or you feel overwhelmed by life transitions, anxiety, relationship struggles, loss, or addiction. You might find that talking to your family and friends isn’t helping you cope with your challenges as much as you'd like, and you realize you need a different kind of support.

My work is Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed and if you’ve ever felt like you can’t think our way out of something, I have experience incorporating body-based and nervous system approaches to address the effects of trauma and other formative experiences in our bodies.
I support clients' healing goals through self-compassion and mindfulness skills. Through compassionate reflection on relationships with self, family, friends, and society, I work with clients to identify and heal patterns of painful self-talk; patterns that can make us feel stuck and overwhelmed. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma and have served diverse clients of all races, genders, and sexual orientations. As a mixed race Korean-American who has worked domestically and abroad, I also welcome the opportunity to work with clients facing challenges related to culture, identity, and intergenerational issues.

I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) with EMDR and Brainspotting as the most effective multidimensional approach to change.
Healing and change are possible for all of us. I am reminded daily of people's innate ability to mend and grow if they are provided with the right tools in a supportive and compassionate environment. Past events can leave scars and behavior patterns that can get in the way of people leading the life that they choose. I create a safe space where we can work together to allow scars to heal and for transformative change to take place. My clients experience healing from sexual trauma, adverse life events, relationship issues, and dissociative symptoms. They find freedom from feeling "stuck".

As a therapist with extensive training in trauma, grief & loss, I will work with you to identify what you want to change, focusing our attention on early attachment relationships and how these may continue to impact you. Working from an IFS-informed perspective, I believe we all have resilience and strength, and access to our inner selves. Therapy works best when we feel safe: my primary goal is to create a safe and compassionate space with you in our work together. We will focus on ways to support you in making changes you desire, and creating a mindful and safe place for change to begin.

I have had training in psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Warmth, acceptance, and care. That’s how I approach every person that seeks to find peace while navigating life’s challenges. While I have had the privilege of working with and learning from diverse populations for 10+ years, my practice focuses on women who feel overwhelmed, are in a rut, and need support in exploring their purpose. I understand that the unique challenges women face impacts our ability to be authentic with ourselves and others, and can also prevent us from having the lives we want. My intention is to create a safe and compassionate space for women to feel seen, so they can truly see themselves.

I incorporate EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), as well as elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness and somatic experiencing.
Infidelity? Constantly fighting? A sexless marriage? If any of these ring true, you've come to the right place. I provide marriage counseling/couples therapy to adults of all ages, using the evidence-based and highly effective Gottman Method of couples therapy, a structured and relatively short-term approach I've found to be successful. I also provide individual counseling for those who have experienced trauma, including PTSD. A past or current trauma can significantly impact your life, but it doesn't have to dominate your life. For more than 10 years, I've been helping people regain a sense of ease and control over their lives.

I use EMDR, family systems, and ego-state therapy methods to help you settle unresolved issues from the past, calm your inner turmoil, and focus on building positive and satisfying relationships with others.
Do you keep asking yourself "When is this going to get better?" or "Why can't I figure this out?" or "Why does this keep happening?" Your past experiences might be causing you to be fearful or angry or defensive and negative feelings often get us stuck in unhelpful repetitive patterns. When those feelings and patterns are interrupting your productivity at work or are causing communication or connection problems with friends, family members, and romantic partners, counseling can help.

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here. If you are seeking a flexible way to receive therapeutic support that is different from the traditional model of weekly or biweekly long-term psychotherapy or you enjoy your traditional therapy with your existing long-term support system but two things keep coming up for you: (1) Your schedule is demanding and unpredictable, making a weekly therapy appointment feel overwhelming. (2) You feel like you need more help and more quickly. The idea of spending months in talk therapy makes it feel impossible to ever feel better. We might be a fit!

I use sensorimotor, IFS, psychodynamic, and relational therapy to support my clients in healing from trauma.
Life can be messy, chaotic, and complicated; therapy reminds me of spring cleaning. Similar to spring cleaning, therapy can be slow, overwhelming, & messy. Throughout the therapeutic process, it is my goal to support clients to embrace all the parts of them in healing from trauma. Together, we will work to unpack and find meaning, connection, understanding, and even humor. I work with individuals that have experienced sexual trauma, relational trauma, eating disorders, and struggle with the impacts of trauma. I deeply enjoy working with individuals that want to deepen their connection to self and community.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
