For over 40 years I have been successfully helping couples, families, and individuals change their lives for the better. My action-oriented approach begins changing unhealthy patterns of interaction immediately. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois with two decades of experience, specializing in stress management, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, career coaching and professional burnout.  My mission is to partner with my clients in their personal and professional growth using an approach that attends to the mind, body and spirit. In therapy, I work to create an empathic, open, and collaborative atmosphere to treat issues such as trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. Identity development, grief and loss, relationship problems, and domestic violence and abuse are other concerns that I help people address through therapy. I practice primarily from a psychodynamic approach and also use cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal therapy to enrich the therapeutic process.

I work from a Developmental, Attachment, Relational perspective and frequently incorporate Trauma & Family Systems Models into my work. I have extensive experience with infants, young children, teens, families & adults. When working with children I strive to work collaboratively with all relevant members in the child's life to understand & treat that child.

I work with people who are recovering from religious trauma, deconstructing their faith, or reintegrating spirituality into their lives, including those from the LGBTQIA+ community who have been harmed by religious groups. I am dedicated to an anti-oppression approach and love to learn and grow with clients seeking similar values. I value working with teenagers and young adults to empower them care for themselves and grow in confidence. I have expertise in working with adoptive families and birth parents. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health to guide parents navigating the intense life changes of pregnancy and parenthood.
