I have been working for over 20 years as a therapist and utilize the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change- this remains the bedrock of my work. As a result, if the client does not feel we are the right fit on the first session I do not charge the client for the initial visit. I feel it is important for my clients to determine if I am the right fit for him/her.
My work often entails supporting the client to fully transition into the next stage of his/her life. These challenges typically brings with them a number of struggles that require careful attention. They can manifest as anxiety, depression, feelings of emptiness, confusion, nightmares, substance abuse and family/relationship issues.
The common theme among my clients, even though it initially masquerades as a "symptom," is a deep calling to turn one's attention inward. I embrace old and new treatment modalities in the service of individuation.
