I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of psychological trauma. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults and older adolescents, as well as couples therapy. I have extensive experience working with a broad range of psychological concerns, and my style as a therapist is collaborative, interactive, empathic, and non-judgmental. As a trauma specialist, I work with survivors of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. The effects of prolonged and repeated trauma are complex and frequently misidentified, and may include difficulty managing emotions, self-injury, anxiety and depression, problems with identity and relationships, intense feelings of guilt / shame, and substance abuse.
Through therapy, I create a safe and supportive space where the impact of trauma can be faced and explored, where fears and destructive behaviors can be overcome, and where you can begin to re-establish a sense of safety and connectedness in the world.
