I believe that therapy is about more than "working things out." The therapeutic relationship is just that: a relationship. I provide a safe and supportive environment to express emotions that are often difficult to express in other settings; anger, grief, sadness, despair. It is my hope to work with you to better understand yourself, and create a sense of safety within yourself. No person exists in a vacuum, so I will encourage you to reflect on your past, and how it influences your present. I believe that lasting change, requires diving deep to address deep rooted patterns.
I incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into my practice alongside traditional talk therapy. I certainly do not have strict rules for sessions, and if we end up playing Uno, Trivial Pursuit or even Charades, it's clearly what you found to be helpful, and that's what I care about.

That's why I'm holding a weekly, virtual support group for young adults between the ages of 19-25. This group will focus on life transitions, general anxiety and depression. Group meets Thursdays at 6:30pm.
