I know that therapy requires the right fit for clients to make progress. I believe in finding that fit, which is why I will provide a client with a free thirty-minute consultation. That will give us both time to see if I am the right person to help you and your needs, and for you to ask any questions about my treatment approach. I have over thirty years of experience in Colorado and in California, teaching in a medical school, and supervising mental health trainees and practicing clinicians. I love this work, and look forward to working with you.

If you're ready to move beyond anxiety, emotional overwhelm, chronic pain and stress, or performance blocks, I can help. Whether through weekly therapy or a focused therapy intensive, I help teens and adults create lasting change—not just learn to cope. You may be holding it all together, but inside you're exhausted from overthinking, pushing through, feeling ‘blocked’, or feeling stuck in survival mode. Perhaps your mind never seems to quiet, your relationships feel strained, or your body has begun speaking through chronic pain, headaches, fatigue, or other stress-related symptoms. You don't have to keep living this way.

I love working with couples! A flourishing relationship gives us access to a more fulfilled life. When we feel seen, understood and supported...we thrive! In couples work, we better our skills in communication, vulnerability and emotional regulation...the result: more empathy, patience, forgiveness, tolerance and resiliency during painful anger, conflict and difference. It is my sole purpose to help individuals cultivate meaningful connection and trust within themselves and their partners. Don't let old stories and stuck behavior keep you from learning, expanding and healing. I do believe in hope and transformation!

I work with athletes ages 12 and up who want to perform well, compete with confidence, and build a healthy relationship with sport. Some come to me because they feel stuck in their heads, overwhelmed by pressure, frustrated by inconsistency, or disconnected from the joy that first drew them to their sport. Others want to strengthen their mental game, develop new skills, and continue growing as athletes. My approach combines sport psychology tools with exploration. Together we strengthen focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience while learning from setbacks and performance struggles.

I know how painful it can be to feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or the lasting effects of childhood experiences. My commitment to helping others heal comes not only from my professional training, but also from my own journey. For many years, I struggled with anxiety and depression and searched for ways to create lasting change. Through a combination of therapeutic tools, intentional self-reflection, and learning to relate to myself with greater compassion, I discovered that healing was possible. Those experiences shaped both who I am and how I work with clients today.

I combine modern research with ancient wisdom, utilizing my on-going study and training in neuroscience, arousal and attachment theories, Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Transpersonal and Jungian psychologies, Internal Family Systems and a generous sprinkling of the Wise Woman Herbal Tradition.
As humans, our desire for connection and belonging is innate, healthy and our birthright. Too often, parts of us seem to sabotage our relationships and peace of mind by utilizing old learned patterns, meant to protect, but now limiting our fullest expressions of love and security. When we explore, honor and understand the origins of these parts and turn toward them with compassion, we offer ourselves the opportunity to integrate and heal old wounds, to live and love in the present, informed by, but not limited by the past. I assist individuals and couples in transforming themselves and their relationships.

I offer support for all forms of trauma. I provide a safe space for individuals, couples and groups to transform old trauma. Through this healing process, the client experiences a sense of choice that may have not been available before. This begins to enhance their relationship with themselves and others. There is opportunity for connection with one's own body wisdom and a sense of inner freedom. This cultivates feelings of empowerment, an ability to trust oneself and to align with what feels true. Client's begin to experience themselves as more present, compassionate toward themselves and others while living an embodied life.

I am skilled in the areas of: Somatic Experiencing (trauma and developmental issues), Jungian dream work, EFT (emotionally focused therapy), EMDR, Brainspotting, family systems, addictions.
Carl Rogers said, when we accept ourselves as we are, then we can change. Focusing on the individual and their unique capability toward healing is the guiding approach I take in therapy. I work with great curiosity to explore the distractions and negative cycles that may be keeping you stuck. The struggle for clarity is a difficult one to navigate in isolation; together we can look at patterns and behaviors that no longer service you. The therapeutic process is one of finding balance between the emotional and rational, the mind and body and bringing that forward into our lives.

As you may be searching through folks profiles, how do you know if a counselor is right for you? A comfortable and genuine connection is vital in the relationship between a client and therapist, and most importantly - healing takes place in the relationship you have with yourself. I trust and believe that every person holds the wisdom to their own answers for growth. Sometimes we need someone to whole-heartedly hear us and support along the way. I view counseling as an opportunity to be fully seen and heard for who you are and have a companion/guide with you.

Jungian Therapists
How does Jungian therapy work?
Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?
Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?
According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?
Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
