I am a individual adult counselor and PACT trained couple/marriage therapist. Psychotherapy is a journey of self-exploration, self-discovery and self-awareness. My approach centers around a belief in the healing and transformative power of mindfulness, and mind-body awareness. With guidance and support, these tools lead to freedom, joy, the manifestation of your natural talents and gifts, and your true voice. I offer a supportive, compassionate style, and a strong, steady, presence for our work together; I also skillfully and precisely challenge the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Our stubborn patterns are often merely outdated, out of context, and/or out of proportion to our current life: anxiety, dissociation, denial, aggression, defensiveness, passive-aggression. I have worked with individuals, couples & families for over 20 years, drawing on my training in Gestalt, attachment, mindfulness, body-centered approaches & neuroscience
I am rooted in my own longstanding meditation practice, providing a reliable ground for the therapeutic process. I am also an experienced meditation instructor, father, and facilitate men's retreats and parenting classes. Our work together will help you uncover your own power, voice, and innate capacity for healing and transformation.
