My primary tasks are to help clients become aware of their innate ability to heal themselves and to help them create solutions to problems that may have seemed unsolvable. From a theoretical perspective, my approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and the cognitive and behavioral therapies; but above all, my work is pragmatic.
My areas of specialization include trauma-related disorders; attachment pathology; intimate partner violence; relationship conflict; anxiety; and depression.
My clinical work experience spans thirty-four years. During this period I have provided mental health services to incarcerated men and women; substance-abusing individuals; survivors of intimate partner violence, and individuals suffering from the lingering effects of trauma.
