My goal is to instill hope and healing for clients presenting with concerns related to post-traumatic stress, attachment, anxiety, grief/loss, depression, disruptive behaviors, social skills, parenting, and/or relational distress.

I am a licensed associate counselor (LAC) and licensed American sign language (ASL) interpreter who moved to Phoenix, AZ from New York, NY. I have experience working with individuals, children, and families as well as groups and couples. I am the best fit for a family who has children between the ages from birth to 24 years old. I offer support to families who are struggling with challenging behaviors from their children and adolescents in home or at school. I offer a unique systemic approach that includes parents in the treatment process that is not found in many other practices. This systemic approach is extremely affective and helps keep parents in the loop and helps families complete the treatment goal faster than other approaches. As I believe therapy for children should be brief and solution focused so they can get back to being a kid.

As a mother of 5 children with a Master's degree in Child & Adolescent Developmental Psychology and a Ph.D. in Metaphysics & Transpersonal Counseling, my approach is very holistic. My eclectic approach utilizes the hands-on experience of having had a child with autism (who is now 23 and autistic free!). Behavior is a language - what is it "saying?" is my approach. With this approach, we can help the child and family to heal and deal with the issues differently. My intention is to provide a safe space for healing to begin.

I believe that counseling is about empowering us to make the positive changes in our lives that we believe we need to live a fulfilling and happy life. Sometimes we have learned dysfunctional thought processes from the experiences life has provided us. Having a trusted professional to help us sift through our beliefs and thoughts in a non judgmental way can provide us with a different perspective, can enables us to make the changes that we already know we need to make, but have been unable to make happen.

If you have experienced Anxiety/Depression, Sexual Assault, PTSD or other negative experiences, you most likely are familiar with the rippling effects of distressed feelings, amplifying intrusive thoughts as well as emotions of anger, pain, sadness, despair and more. Distressing and unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, and even physical ailments can interrupt your relationships, education, career, finances or more.

I am not accepting new clients for in-person/ tele with evening hours working with adults, youth, adolescents, and children. My hours for In Office are Monday 1 - 6 pm, Wednesdays 1 - 6 pm.
