I work with individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, behavior issues, trauma, sexuality, gender exploration, relationships, life transitions and grief. My approach is to help you restore balance to your life, explore difficult emotions in a supportive manner and to learn how to respond to tough things differently. As a bilingual and bicultural Spanish speaking therapist I have a passion to work with Latinx community. I believe it is very important to understand a client's background, and belief system from a cultural and social perspective. I have experience supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions and parenting challenges. I work with adults, children and their parents/caregivers. People need a space where they can feel listened and safe to tell stories of pain and trauma. But also, a place where someone believes in them and can be an ally in their path to find their authentic self.

I can best describe myself as a Competency-based, Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems therapist. Practically speaking, that means I have great respect for the challenges we all face in our lives and consider most so called "problem-behaviors" as logical adaptations to difficult situations that simply have outlived their usefulness. Therapy sessions strive to identify out dated problem solving strategies and replace them with newer more effective solutions. While I utilize a number of treatment techniques, I rely most heavily on Cognitive-Behavioral, Skills Training and Family Systems approaches.

I utilize a holistic and integrative perspective with a focus on client-centered therapy. This entails working from a wide array of techniques to focus on each individual’s needs and wants. I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University an integrative program that utilizes a holistic approach to health and well-being. I have experience working in an inpatient and outpatient setting with individuals, families and groups. I am passionate about whole-person health, and it reflects in my everyday practice and work with clients. It's important to identify the root causes rather than just working to alleviate symptoms.

It is common to feel loneliness and heartbreak when experiencing relationship difficulties (sexual concerns, poor communication, conflict without repair, lack of intimacy, codependence, wanting different things, working through a betrayal such as infidelity). I work with individuals, couples, and intimate partnerships who are experiencing relationship and sexual difficulties or mental health concerns, supporting each partner’s growth in self- and other-intimacy by helping each of you identify and skillfully communicate what you think, feel, and prefer and listen with curiosity and compassion as your partner does the same.

Research has shown therapeutic alliance is the foundation for success in therapy. This starts with using a highly collaborative approach and compassionately direct communication. Together, we will create a safe, trusting space to explore what's keeping you stuck, and build the skills necessary for change. Sessions will integrate talk therapy and evidence-based interventions to help you achieve the treatment goals that matter most to you.

I am accepting new clients. My clients are children, adults, and families. Adult clients are usually motivated to enter therapy by intrapersonal or interpersonal issues. Children often present internalized or externalized behavior problems and are brought into therapy by a concerned caregiver. Children may be depressed, withdrawn, angry, defiant, or underachieving. Therapy with children is very different from therapy with adults and requires an approach that is developmentally appropriate. I provide a confidential, safe place to explore psycho dynamic issues and collaborate on approaches that feel right for you.
